Arima watched through the strands of ivory adorning his face, the sunlight refracting off his glasses. The array of colours danced on the pale ceiling and walls. He felt his mouth stiffen slightly, almost causing him to smile as he moved the blotches of colour across Itsuki Marude's scowling features. Carefully he directed the lights towards the corner of the room and there he was again. Yukinori Shinohara, an excellent special class investigator rendered to a state of comatose. His normally smiling face was etched into one of discomfort and irritation. As if the bickering beside Arima was intruding his thoughts. Arima shifted his intense gaze back over to the arguing men.

"I'm seriously worried about the kid, He's going to make himself sick if he continues on like this." Iwao kuroiwa stated once again as if his point would become more valid if he repeated it. Marude remained stubborn and replied in his usual low grumble "The crazy bastard is simply slacking off because Shinohara isn't here to reprimand him-" "No Maru, Yukinori's state has caused him to relapse, every bit of progress they made together is gone." Kuroiwa leaned back against his chair, exhausted from bickering with the other male. Marude followed suit and a calloused hand ran through his hair "It's scary to think he was worse prior to our meeting- Suzuya needs to learn this isn't just some game-" Marude was once again interrupted by Kuroiwa "Shinohara's support was all Suzuya had. He doesn't know how to live without him being there," Marude's lack of response gave Kuroiwa slight satisfaction as he pressed on "I think we should take Chairman Washu up on his offer-" "Iwao don't be an idiot here! You want to give him a squad? Do you have any idea-" Marude roared. Arima sat up, waiting patiently for an opportunity to interject the rambling investigators. "Why not Maru?" Kuroiwa interrupted the raven haired man "I have a whole list and a broken bike's worth of reasons why not!" "Shut up about that bike Maru, the men he saved from getting shot are worth more than your dilapidated bike!" Kuroiwa was launched off of his seat. "I'll show you dilapidated-" Arima huffed in exasperation and tugged hard on his hair. The white reaper pulled himself to his feet and pulled the squabbling pair apart. "You two grown men are fighting over the well-being of your friend's pride and joy- Juuzou is like a son to him and he would want us to look after him while he can't. Thus I have already contacted the Chairman myself. The squad should be moving in next week,"Arima left hastily before the other two could say anything else.

Arima shuffled into the warm takeout hut. It's only source of light was from the greasy heat lamps sheltering the food, the owner's face creased into a smile when he saw him. "Happy Friday Special Class Investigator Arima sir- Gosh that's a mouthful," "I tell you every time I come here that Arima is just fine" he returned the man's enthusiasm with a tiny grin. "Aaa yes yes sorry Arima, How is Suzuya doing?" The cheerful owner began frying up Arima's usual order at an inhumane pace. "Worse if that's possible but I do know that every meal of yours, cheers him up even if it's just a little bit" "I'm sorry to hear that, but glad I could be of help. I'll add some more lollipops- you better give him my regards now Arima-" The white reaper nodded frantically "I promise I will, Thankyou Soma-san" The red head slid the paper bag over to Arima as the latter began to root through his wallet. "It's on the house, Juuzou's a nice kid and you're a great friend to do this for him. I just hope he gets better so I can see him again in person," Like always Arima was hard to convince but eventually left the restaurant with his food.

"I do too Soma-san."
