Hello to anyone reading this! My name is Sydney and this is the first fic I've written! It's probably super short, but I'm new to this okay? Writing Brallon fanfic in 2020 isn't something I ever thought I would be doing, but here we are. No smut yet, but there will be some soon I promise ;)
Please let me know if you want me to continue the story! I'm not sure where the plot line is going, but if anybody enjoys this first chapter, I'll figure it out :) anyway thank you for reading!
"Jesus Dallon! Hurry up and start the car! It's fucking freezing in here." My friend, Ryan, shouts at me as I fumble with the keys to my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder, inserting them quickly into the car only to receive a loud sputter from the engine. My car isn't in the best shape, and it's a guessing game if it'll turn on or not.
I'm into music and have been trying to pursue it for a while now. I don't have a lot of money saved and anything extra is immediately poured into my band. Long story short, I don't have the finances to fix this car, and frankly, it works just fine.
The car finally starts running and blasts ice-cold air from the vents right into our faces. I quickly crank the heat and start to back out of the driveway, carefully edging onto the slippery road.
It's Tuesday morning and it's senior skip day, so we decided to go get breakfast at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. It's only a short drive from my house and Ryan and I have never tried it before, so we decided to give it a shot.
After many incidents of unwanted sliding into icy intersections, we finally arrive at the smoothie place. I put on my black Carhartt winter jacket, which matches quite well with the rainbow sweater I wore today, and Ryan and I head inside. I'm happy I wore my black boots because the snow is practically past our ankles at this point.
"Welcome to Tropical Smoothie Cafe!" I hear a slightly deep, but happy sounding voice shout immediately upon entering the building. It's a surprisingly nice place: the walls are painted a light blue, and there's orange decor set up around the small interior, with a white marble counter to order at.
I'm not ready to order yet and neither is Ryan so we wait to the side of the store and let others order before us because they know what they're getting. After much discussion and some googling, I decide on a Razzmatazz berry drink and Ryan wants a Blueberry Bliss smoothie.
Right when we are walking up to order, a skinny guy with dark hair and a few arm tattoos makes eye contact with me; his warm dark eyes matching my cool, light blue ones.
I guess Ryan also notices him, and quickly yanks my arm aside, a little too fast. "Ouch!" I yelp. A couple of heads turn my way and I quickly look down to the floor. I hate drawing attention to myself when I don't have to. It didn't even hurt, I just wasn't expected to be tugged at.
"Dallon, dude. Do you see that guy? You've got to be kidding me, he's so hot." Ryan whispers loudly into my ear.
I look closer at the dark-eyed mystery and notice his name tag. It reads, 'Brendon Urie' and has a small smoothie logo at the bottom. Brendon? That's a cute name. It suits him well.
"Yeah I do see him," I say, "and please let me go order so I can talk to him."
"Fine, but could you order mine too? I can't go up and talk to him myself. I want you to get to know him instead." That was the great thing about Ryan, he's so selfless and just wants me to be happy and find somebody I genuinely like. I admire that about him.
I shyly walk up to the counter and Brendon looks me up and down, trying to seem sly but he doesn't succeed. I'm 6'3 and he's a couple inches shorter than me, so he has to tilt his head up to get a full look.
