Song_ slow fade (Ruth b)
Chris pov,
I looked at her,
She looked so small yet beautiful,
The Johnny the nurses helped her get into made her look so small I guess.
She's been sleeping for five hours now, it's almost 7:00am and I'm sure my secretary Jenny will blow my phone up with calls soon...
I'm going to be late for work, a sure fact
I barely slept through the night Majority of the time I was pacing back and forth the ward room.
I wonder what she was doing out there so late at night, to even make matters worse she's lost consciousness.
I really hope she's not doing as bad as she looks right now.
My thoughts kept wandering to who she was and what I'd do if I'm to find out she's an escapee.trust my mind to bring up ugly and bad scenarios. But something keeps telling me she's a victim of certain circumstances perhaps my thoughts are able to stop imagine bad and gruesome sceneries
The continuous beeping of the electrocardiogram kept bringing me out from my train of thoughts which I'm grateful for.
The doctor on duty five hours ago had come in to run some tests on her before ushering me in and now he's nowhere to be found and I'm yet to know what could possibly be wrong with this angel, for she looked like one.Speaking of which,
The ward room door clicked open and I turned around In a 180 degree style to face the doctor on duty, Sam as he'd earlier introduced himself.
It was a relief seeing him, at least I won't be lost in the situation at hand.Good morning Mr....
I looked at him with distaste as he tried to remember my name, such irony that he forgot mine while I remembered his. I decided to blame the nature of his jobChris!
I interjected.
Because I was sure if I had not done that he'd have kept on fiddling with his glasses on his nose which looked perfectly sculptured instead of kindly asking for my name.
I guess doctors have pride in one way or the other
I stood up and welcomed his hands in mine returning the handshake with a stiff composure.
I ain't got patience for pleasantries but for the sake of formality.Whats the outcome of the tests doc?
Chris, who's this young lady to you?
The question was not expected, I never really thought of how to respond if I'm asked such.
The doctor watched me with scrutinizing eyes and for a moment I wondered if my mind was actually right when picturing bad scenarios.I found her on the road and she seemed unconscious so I rushed her here.
The doctor's scrutinizing gaze dropped and he looked up at me with a stiff and blantant expression.
She was raped Chris,
I was sure that i looked like I had just witnessed a murder scene for the doctor just sighed and kept talking.she has some lacerations in
her upper vagina and bruises in her upper arms and neck considering she was dressed up when u saw her. I could only guess she fought back and didn't succeed much and must've been in shock hence the unconscious state.
She might have health complications like PSTD (post traumatic stress disorder)
Depends on her mental strength
Mr chris? If you'll excuse me.. come see me in my office to discuss more on the issue at hand once you done digesting the news.
I watched as the doctor walked out of the ward with quick strides leaving me in a state of confusion I looked back at her,
I don't even know her name
She was mysterious to me
But no matter who she is she doesn't deserve such I'll treatment.
I walked out of the ward too to give a call to my secretary
I need to cancel all my appointments for today, I don't even remember having any important appointments just random paper works here and there.
With purposeful strides I left the ward room too.
Hopefully I wouldn't have any important appointment on my schedule today so I can stay with her, wait, watch over her till she wakes up.
For all I know her rapist is out on the loose and probably looking for her to shut her up from telling the police or anyone.xoxo....
