The rain is so gentle, I thought. The way the rain drops softly touch my finger tips made me so happy, I wanted to cry. It felt like a warm hand was comforting me.

The sun was down, the sky covered in heavy clouds shadowing over us. Drip drop, drip drop. Slowly, the roads were filled up in puddles and the people roaming around trying to take shelter.

I took a peek from my window. The wind blowing sideways brushed my hair against my face. It tickled, I smiled. As the rain got heavier, it pitter pattered on the roof in a rythem.

For someone who found the simplest sound annoying, I was actually surprised. All I waned was some peace to my mind. I didn't want to hear anything. I didn't want to remember anything. But every sound reminded me, taking me back to those days. The pieces of memory I had were a torture to me. Every time I recalled them felt as if a ripe cut reopened. It was a pain. I hated it.

But the rain was somehow different. It was peaceful, I didn't feel lonely. The way those tiny droplets eased my sorrows left me with my heart full of warmth.

My mom and dad and a lot of others felt compassionate for me . I always wondered why. I wanted to ask but the way they all looked at me with their eyes screaming sorry for me made me wanting to scream my lungs out. I wasn't that weak. I wasn't that pitiful. I kept repeating those words in my head but all I got was a teary eye with trembling hands. I wanted to convince them but I, myself was confused.

Tired of wiping my tears all the time, I once again looked at the roaring sky with thunder and lightning striking. The rain got heavier to the point I couldn't even see the road. It was all foggy. My room had also become humid and I found that quite comfy.

I leaned my arms on the window sill, my dark eyes sparkling at the rain. Lighting struck once again and that was the moment my eyes were gazing at the top roof of the two story brick house, facing my room window.

My sparkling eyes grew bigger at the sight I caught. Within the split seconds of the lightning, I saw a tall man dressed in full black standing on top of the roof. His bright green eyes focused on me. Staring deep into my soul. A black mask covered his face and his damp, shoulder length, jet black hair swayed with the wind. I couldn't breath. But within the next second, he disappeared with the lightning.

I stayed awestrucked, my heart pounding furiously against my chest. The rain continued to pour down and I was still frozen on the spot. What did just happen?

I walked down the road, my eyes glued to my feet as they took tiny steps. The road was already awaken at this early in the morning. Due to the rain of the previous night, the air was still humid but the people moving along the road slowly took the dampness away.

I was headed to my school dressed in my usual dark jeans, lose sweater and my hair was pulled behind my ear. Just few more turns. I reminded myself.

As I stood near my school gate, I waited for my friends to arrive because entering the school all alone took my nervousness to its peak. No way I was doing that.

I put my hands in my pockets looking sideways trying to spot them. After a few minutes, the school bell rang from a few metres away and the students hurried in from the gate. I waited. They were late.

Unconsciously, I looked at the still quite cloudy sky. It didn't look like it would rain but it wasn't sunny either. The sun hid behind a cloud once every few minutes and the wind was stronger than usual. I hugged myself as the chilly air blew. My hair were all over my face as it danced along the wind. While trying to get some hair out of the corner of my mouth, my eyes followed a certain someone standing few feets away.

Ah, my heart skipped a beat. Of course from the shock I got. Standing in front of a convenience store, where the shades of a tree fell, was no other guy but the man I saw the night before. There he stood arms crossed, staring down at the ground. He was in a black suit with his hair in a bun.

Beams of ray fell on this beautiful human through the moving leaves of the tree. And then, he looked up. I couldn't make out his facial features through the distance but I could clearly feel his gaze penetrating through every single cell of my body. Those green eyes were glowing in the shadows. With the sudden breeze, a chill ran down my spine.

"Char! Charlotte!! Oh my god I'm soo sorry," Mila ran towards me waving her hand with Eda few steps behind. I looked towards the convenience store and now he was gone.

I turned my attention to them as they caught up. "Hurry, hurry." Eda grabbed my hand without stopping and the three of us ran in through the gates.

The school ended and I was on my usual routine to my house. Mila walked next to me talking, laughing as I only nodded and occasionally giving an 'oh' to her. I wholeheartedly listened to her but I could never make out how to respond. I gave feedbacks in my head, not that it would help.

"Hmm whats wrong? You're quiet. You ok?" She touched my forehead. "What do you mean? I'm always quiet." I said in a small voice. "Yeah you are but you have been a lot more quieter today. Is everything alright at home? You know you can always talk to me." I smiled.

She'd been my closest friend for a very long time and I was glad to have her. The way I was then, I knew I couldn't really pour out what I wanted to say or what I was going through but she always told me that she understood me and to move on at my own pace. A mere thank you would never be enough.

Soon, she parted ways with me, reminding me to sleep and eat well. I waved back at her and took a turn.

Now here comes the 'walk fast' alley. That is an alley where I had always been uncomfortable with. It's quite. Too quiet. People hardly pass through here but I had no other choice.

I took larger steps and fastned my walk. My heart kept pounding extremely hard for an odd reason. I wanted to believe I could make out of the alley safely. Unfortunately, my luck flew away leaving me behind.

A large shadow hovered over me and I froze on the spot. I could hear my own heart drumming so loudly, it felt like my ears would snap. My hands lost it's grip from the bag strap. I gulped. Slowly I looked up to only meet a green pair of eyes before my sight went blurry and lost my consciousness.
