Falling star (Mermaid Nika x Aiga)

I was walking home, I'm thinking about the battle with Phi... I lost to him.. I wish we can defeat him Achilles... maybe one day we will shine like the star. I stopped from my track as I stared at the big wide ocean, it shone under the moonlight, the warm breeze brushes through my skin tickling it. I inhaled the salty breeze, the golden like sand I want to feel it. Everything was peacefully calm, the moon looks big and bright today.

"Mhhhmmm.... laaaaa~" I heard a melodic voice, it's kinda calming me. I got curious to know who's sweet voice it is, I followed the voice as I run to the ocean. Stopping at the mid way, I found a women sitting on a rock far away from the shore.

What is she doing there? Wait how did she get there in the first place? I stared at her long pink hair which looks beautiful even in the dark. Her pale skin was exposed to the moonlight. Without my consciousness I have been staring at her for too long that she felt my presence. She turned around, her beautiful orange eyes locked with mine.

Soon she broke the contact as she dived into the ocean, wait!

I ran into the ocean as I start to swim in the cold water, soon enough I found nothing.. she disappeared.. I can't find her.

With a disappointment I swim back to the shore as I head back home.

The next night~

I was waiting at the ocean, hoping she might come again. I hide behind a rock. I have been waiting for more than three hours, which I end up falling asleep.

..... (some time later)

"Mhhhmmm.... laaaaa~"

Hmm!? I heard the melodic voice again, I sneak peaked through the little gap between those two huge rocks where I hide behind. It's her! She stared at the dark sky which was studded with stars. Her eyes... she looks sad.. why?

I slowly walk closer to the end of the shore, I slowly swim on the ocean. She heard me, I quickly hide my head inside the water. After making sure she turn back thinking she was alone I raised my head out of the water. I then managed to get near her. I get closer to the rock she was sitting on, my eyes widened.. she has no legs but a tail...

She is a Mermaid!?!

Oh that explains how she disappeared into the water yesterday... wait do mermaid actually exist?

"W..who are you?!" She found me, she gets panic.

"Its.. okay! I won't hurt you.. I swear" I said raising my hands up, "I'm Aiga akabane, just call me Aiga.. young lady."

"A..Aiga?" She spoke, I nodded.

"What's your name?"

"Nika.." She replied, she kinda looks beautiful.

"Cute name Nika." I smiled.

"Thanks.. get on the rock... you will catch cold.." She pat the place beside her. I climbed on the rock as she stared at the star studded sky.

"Umm... what are you doing here every night?" I asked.

"I'm waiting to see falling star.." she replied.

"Why?"

"I had a wish.., my brother told me.. if you wish to a falling star then it will come true.. but unfortunately I can't find one.." She weakly smiled.

"May I know what's your wish?"

"Hmm.. it's kinda sound childish but.. I want a human to kiss me"

I have no words...

"Why?"

"Because if a human with true love kiss a mermaid then the mermaid will turn into a human."

I guess I can help her with this..

"Well if that's what your wish is then." I leaned forwards her, she was clueless at first, I grabbed her cheek as I kissed his soft lips. She blushed but kiss me back. I stared at her beautiful eyes, "Nika.."

Then something flashed blinding me, I closed my eyes.

"Aiga!" She called me.

I opened my eyes, a smile tucked in my lips, "You have legs!" I exclaimed.

"Hmm yes." She stood up but she lost her balance as I grabbed her hands helping her stay still.

"Careful. There you go" I helped her stand.

"Thank you Aiga, I love you" She softly whispered.

"I love you too, Nika" I cupped her cheeks.

Staring at each others we both leaned in for another kiss.

"I never though I would fell in love with a mermaid~"
