My eyes shoot open and fortunate enough for me, I'm drenched in sweat.
So much for the damn air conditioner.
"Uggh" I groan as I burrow myself under the sheets.
I don't even shiver or do any of those exaggerated things that people do in movies after having nightmares.
You know why?Its because I knew it was coming.
Today is the first day of school and you don't need a soothsayer to tell you that I didn't get enough sleep.
To be truthful, I'm scared to sleep.
I dread the idea of sleeping at night so much that I hardly ever do it.
It gives us a way to escape reality.
A temporary sense of comfort if you ask me.
Not everyone enjoys sleeping. Not everyone benefits from that temporary feeling of unconsciousness.
Not everyone can escape from reality because some people aren't just... bound to escape.I'm jolted out of reverie by a loud knock on my door.
"Yes, come in" I turn my body to the opposite side to see who it is.
"Good morning, My love"
A very shapely beautiful woman walks into my room graciously. Her whisky coloured hair, cascaded down her back. She is wearing a blue floral sundress which makes her eyes pop.
She looks so beautiful and I can't help but find myself imagining what teenage her had looked like. She doesn't even notice the beads of sweat on my forehead and I don't bother to tell her about it.
"Good morning mom" I reply as I rub my knuckles onto my eye vigorously.
"Your food is downstairs. Go prepare for school now" she goes straight to the point. Her face, void of emotions.
I scoff in response–already used to this bipolar behaviour of hers, as I run my hands through my brown chaotic mop of hair.
She doesn't seem phased at all by my response as she turns to leave.
Once I see her bang the door, I start heading towards the bathroom.I frown feebly as I'm met with my reflection-A very sleep deprived and tired looking teenager.
I lean in closer to look at my eyes and they radiate nothing but extreme dullness."Crap" I mutter as I notice the not so faint dark circles under my eyes.
"Concealer It Is then"

I roll up in sandra's front lawn, and in the process, strangle all the flowers present. My bad.
I'll probably tell her when she comes out.
Speaking of coming out, this she devil thinks I'm some sort of uber driver that you keep waiting.
I really hate when people waste my time and so, On Impulse, I begin to yell her name and make ear splitting honks."Sandra Bullocks! If you don't get your small flipping sized butt out here right now, I will drive off and you'll have no choice than to walk to school In those pink creepy stilettos of yours"
I yell all in one go and her neighbours who are very much talented at minding their businesses(Note the sarcasm)begin to give me quite unpleasant stares."Oh please what the hell are y'all looking at? Don't you have some kind of stressful work to do?" I snap as I avert my gaze to each of them one by one; Making sure I stare right into their unpleasant souls.
As expected, they all back off making me smile to myself.
Well done kail.
Yes, I'm congratulating myself.
I also even talk to myself.Aren't I perfectly normal?
"I'm here! Miss impatient. Goshh."
A well dressed sandra hollers as she starts heading over to my car. Her blonde curls bouncing over her shoulders.
