Only three months left. I kept telling myself that just to get through every class today.
"Hey B!" Marianna has been my best friend since kindergarten and we always do everything together. "On Friday do you want to go to the mall with me?"
"Why not? I've only got four hours of homework to do." I said as I fixed my messy bun and pushed up my black, square glasses.
"We can do it at my house after, besides, I heard Mason was going to the mall too!"
"Okay I'll go. But just this once." I can feel my face get red and hot. Just then, Carolina and her gang of ratchets walked by. Marianna and I just kept waking. All she wants is attention so we decide never to give it to her.
"Why are you ignoring me peasants ? Why can't you just be like everyone else ?! " Marianna gave me a high five and we both continued our way to history class, giggling.
At the Westside mall, Marianna was asking me about shirts, I could care less. "Does this shirt look better in mint green," said Marianna "or lime green?"
"Um... mint." I wasn't paying attention at all to what she was saying. All I could think about is Mason. "We should go get something to eat, I'm starving. "
"Okay. Let me just buy this shirt and we can be on our way. " While the lady at the register is ringing the shirt up, I caught a glimpse of chocolate colored hair and green emerald eyes starring at me through the rack of shorts next to me. I quickly looked away remembering that Mason has those majestic green eyes that can make you fall in love with him. I took a second glance and noticed they were gone. Maybe I'm hallucinating, I thought. Mason doesn't even know I exist.
"Hey Bailey." No. Way. It can't be. Mason just called my name.
"Hi Mason." I was so nervous and shy.
"I couldn't help but overhear that you guys are heading to go eat. "
"Yeah we are." said Marianna confused.
"You wouldn't mind if we joined you, would you ?" said Nick. Marianna's face got very red and I was completely surprised, not believing that this is real life.
"No, no not at all." Marianna and I just got invited on a double date. With our crushes, someone pinch me.
