"Cyn!" Clint yelled. "Stop or I'll shoot."

A laugh escaped his sisters lips it was cynical not the sister he remembered. Nat had warned him this would be the case, but that didn't make it sting any less.

"You honestly think you could stop me?" She asked her lips curled in the corners and there was something about her eyes. They seemed to glow almost red to him.

"Cynthia it's me Clint. Clinton. Your brother. Cyn." He pleaded he dropped his bow which went against his nature.

"And?" She asked impatiently. She rolled her eyes before looking at the destruction she had caused in a small town outside of Hong Kong. She was willing to tear every building for her target. It was in her nature.

"Please Cyn. Don't make me fight you." He said.

"That's your choice." She said before moving on.

When did she begin levitating? Nat now asked through the speaker in his ear.

"I don't know it's new to me." He shrugged. "Nat, somethings not right. That's not my sister."

No that's an assassin.

He sighed at her response she wasn't wrong. He picked up his pace trying to catch up with her.

Hey Clint, it's not your fault. You didn't do this to her.

"Yeah, but I didn't find her sooner. Nat. Anyway of getting her out of this?"

You got me out right? She was still grateful for that as he pondered. I'm sorry Clint, but she's hitting the city.

"Okay Nat. Don't kill her."

Nat whipped the ship in front of Cynthia who was too occupied on locating her target. Why was it so hard to find this person. Everyone else was easy. Simple. She tracked them down and that was that. It was infuriating.

"Sorry Cyn." Nat said before starting up the firearms on the ship.

Cynthia raised her arm and a blockade formed in front of her. She was already dangerous, but this new found power intensified that. As her hand raised a yellow portal opened up beneath her swallowing her.

Where'd she go?

"I don't know, but that's new too." Clint groaned as he reached the spot. He kicked a loose stone at where his sister used to be.

Cynthia fell hard smacking her face on what was both a ground and not. She jumped up ready for anything. Not ready for the darkness that surrounded her.

"I hear you're looking for me." A female voice called. It echoed around her causing her to not know what direction it came in. Cynthia's jaw clenched now. She had never let her anger blindside her before. Anger clouds judgements. Anger doesn't make for a better kill, but a weaker one.

"And you are?" Her voice called. She could hear the bitterness of it all. Like venom was spitting out. Her eyebrows raised now feeling her own anger and realizing she was not in control.

"Grand Master of course. I go by a many other names as well. And you Chthon taking over another body." She said.

"My name is Cynthia." She stated.

"Maybe." The lady said she came quick out of nowhere forcing Cynthia to part from her own body. With her another soul popped out and was gone in an instant never once revealed its form. "Much better. Now do you still want to kill me?"

She pulled her hood down as Cynthia fell to her knees in defeat.

"I. I." Cynthia stumbled. There was a face in there with her and flashes of it was piercing her. She had to have imagined it. "I don't know."

"It's okay to be afraid." Grand Master smiled and leaned in front of her. "Together we can beat him. Together I'll show you how to control what he placed inside of you."

Cynthia could talk only nod.

"I am Yao also known as the Ancient One." She greeted offering her hand. Cynthia took it.

"Where'd she go?" Nat asked walking towards Clint.

"She was right here. Then woosh." He said.

"Then woosh?"

"Laura is going to kill me." He groaned. He promised he'd have her back in time for dinner. They began scanning the area when he noticed the glow again. "Nat!"

He readied his bow as she readied her staff splitting it apart. When the Ancient One and Cynthia appeared before them Clint immediately dropped his bow. A small mistake and risk Nat wasn't going to take.

When Clint looked at her face he knew his sister was there. The red tint to her eyes was gone. Her face seemed softer. When she saw the damage she had just created her eyes went wide and filled with water. The bodies on the ground from her destruction. The scared faces of those who were still on standby.

"Clint." Cynthia said petrified a voice he's never heard escape her lips. He ran over to her and wrapped his arms around her.

"It's okay big bro is here for the saving." He smirked.

"But I'm older." She gave him a weak smile.

Ancient One swept her hand reversing the damage laid out before them. Everyone and everything seemed to move backwards in time. "I'm not actually supposed to do that." She said with a wink as she joined the three again.

"You okay Cyn?" Nat asked her.

"No." She admitted. Her cheeks rose in color. Embarrassed. "I'm so sorry Clinton. Nat."

"I know kiddo." He pulled her into his chest before kissing her head.

"Are you ready Cynthia?" The Ancient One asked she nodded and gave a final hug to the pairing before following The Ancient One through a portal.
