- What's with all the sarcasm? All that annoyed attitude? Am I not the little perfect girl you thought I would be when you first saw me and now that bothers you?

- I didn't say perfect. I said ethereal.

Did he mean that as a "don't put words into my mouth", a "you're so dumb you don't even remember what I said" or was it a compliment? Honestly, I preferred to think of it as a compliment.

Before I could answer him, he continued.

- And I never said you're not ethereal anymore.

By now, I was pretty sure he was complimenting me. And just as if he was reading my mind...

- Yes. That is a compliment.

- Oh, aren't you so charming?

- Be sarcastic all you want, but remember you literally paid to see me.

- And you came to my house looking for me. The fact that you did it for free doesn't make it any better.

- So that basically means we were looking for each other... And we found eachother.

The audacity he had... Did he really think I actually still felt the same way about him? After coming to my house? After acting like an ass towards me? I couldn't help but start laughing.

- So I'm not only charming, apparently I am also funny.

- I mean, do you actually think I still feel the same way towards you after-

- After what? After giving you the chance to go to one of the best schools here?

- No, after coming to my house like a creep and acting bitchy after I was obviously confused. How the hell did you even find me??

- I have my methods...

- Your methods to what? To make people uncomfortable?

- To get what I want, he continued and I could sense some slight pride in his voice.

- And what makes you think you will also get what you want this time?

- I mean, you came with me, you're next to me in my car, so I would say I'm not too far away from getting what I want.

- And what is that exactly?

Despite the way he acted before, I knew very well what I wanted the answer to sound like.

- You.

And there was my answer...

- What do you mean? I asked. Not because I didn't understand. I just didn't know what to tell him. My pride wouldn't let me admit that my feelings towards him didn't change too much because of the fight, but I didn't want to reject him either.

For the first time since I met him, I hoped he would be annoyed by me and give some vague nonchalant answer. I forgot that my luck was never the best though.

- I mean... You're here. In my car. Alone with me. And it's honestly disappointing that if I would stop driving right now in order to do something else, we would be late.

His words might've not been too specific, but his tone was giving away his true intentions, along with the way he stared at me while he said that. The look in his eyes was different.

- Do something else?

- Yes. That's what I said.

- Like what?

Once again, I understood what he meant. I understood well enough to get flustered and feel the temperature in the car, along with my own, getting higher and higher.

- You're a smart girl. You know what I mean. Acting dumb to avoid answering me won't get you too far.

He figured out what I was doing, but I couldn't stop. Maybe he was actually the one who didn't want to give a clear answer. Maybe asking him questions would make him back down. Or so I hoped.

- Well, I can't give an answer to something I don't understand. How am I supposed to know what is the thing you want to do?

He rolled his eyes and, after a small pause, he answered:

- You, you are.
