"I'm back"

"How did you come back?" was the question in everyone's head. A year or 2 ago, our favourite teacher Mr. Clyde Hadley was fired from his job as a teacher as many parents complained that he was only playing games with students instead of taking meaningful lectures on his assigned subject. The parents were paying so much school fees and they felt it wasn't worth it. That is why everyone was shocked at his sudden entrance.

He started teaching but unlike last time, he look depressed and had no emotions at all on his face. His voice sounded gloomy and he was wearing clothes that normal teachers wear in the schools in movies. Back then, he used to wear bright coloured clothing but this time he was just wearing a dark blue jeans and a black T shirt. "Good morning students, I am Mr. Clyde and I will be your substitute teacher for today as Mrs. Oakley is absent. Open your books to page 98 please," Chase stood up and blurted out "teacher we already know your name, did you forget our class already? Remember, when you told us that we were your favourite class? Was that just a lie to make us feel happy or are you just acting like you don't know who we are, because you don't want to get into trouble like last time?" Mr. Clyde looked disconsolate for a while as he was unable to look Chase in the eyes. Then he replied with "I need to go to the bathroom, class. Give me a second I will be back." He opened the door and left without making a sound.

Everyone started discussing about what happened to Mr. Clyde but it all went into pin drop silence when he entered the classroom again. He carried on with the lesson and I soon looked down at my watch and whispered to myself "7:45, 15 minutes to go." It was soon breakfast time. While everyone ran out of the classroom, Beth and I walked slow, talking along on the way to the cafeteria. After we finished our food I went near to the swimming pool and dipped my fingers in the water. It was cold but shortly turned warm. I suddenly heard a distant scream and I flinched. I thought that it was just hallucination as a lot of people have confessed that they heard screams too and teachers along with the principal said that it was just hallucination as they didn't hear any.

The bell rang and breakfast was over, I looked around for Beth but she was nowhere to be found in my sight. So, I ran around the cafeteria but alas, I still couldn't find her. After a while, I relaxed thinking that she probably went back to class searching for me. I reached class and took my seat but Beth wasn't there on her's. 10 minutes into class and Beth came in and her reason to be late was "I went to the bathroom but when I came back no one was in the cafeteria. I looked around everywhere because I didn't hear the bell ringing so I didn't know that breakfast ended. I am so sorry teacher. This won't happen again" the teacher let her go as she was never late for class and this was her first time.

Chase smirked when Beth explained her situation and he told teacher it was a lie. Of course no one believed him because I mean dumb people think in only dumb ways so you can't really argue. Beth confirmed that she wasn't lying and everyone in class stood up for her. So teacher let her sit down. Why was Chase acting so suspicious all of a sudden? He never did anything like that before. Wait why am I reasoning this, he always acts dumb and tries to get people into trouble so maybe he wanted to play that "fun" game again.

Chase was really suspicious at this point in everyone's eyes.

Then someone replied "why do you think its a lie?"
