💠Joy's POV💠
Pain. That was the first thing I felt when I opened my eyes.
My head was throbbing and my mouth and lips are dried up. I looked at my surroundings and realized that I was in a bedroom, an unfamiliar bedroom. The sun is shining through the windows, I've been here all night? Wait...what happened last night? All I can remember was I was walking down the street from the coffee shop and that's it. The bedroom door opened and a girl came in.
"You're awake, good!" She laughed and placed the tray she was holding on the nightstand next to the bed, "I'm Misty, by the way." She smiled.
"H-Hi, I'm Joy. What happened? Why am I here?"
Misty grabbed the sandwich on the tray and gave it to me, "Well, my brother found you on an alleyway and you almost got raped, according to him." Now I remember.
"Where's your brother? I need to thank him for what he's done." By this time, I finished the sandwich and Misty gave me a bowl of grapes.
"Bummer, he just left for his work, won't be back till 5." She frowned.
"What time is it? I think my mom is worried."
"It's 9:35 AM, do you need to go home now? I can drive you if you want?"
"That would be great, thank you." Misty nodded and left the room.
I finished the grapes she handed me and stood up from the bed, walking around the room. It was an average room, blue walls, single bed, nightstand, this was probably the guest room of the house. There was another door in the room and I entered it, seeing it was a bathroom. I was wearing the same clothes as yesterday so I went to the closet, finding it almost empty except for a couple of shirts, jeans and bath towels. I grabbed the towel and took a nice, relaxing bath.
I wore one of the jeans that is kinda big on me and the shirt that's also big on me. I checked my belongings like my phone and wallet and when everything is there, I left the room.
I walked down a short hallway and down the stairs, into the living room. Flat screen TV, long sofa, recliner, Misty's family must be rich. She was on the floor watching some kind of TV show and it looks like she's addicted to it. She didn't even noticed me walking down the stairs and into their living room. I coughed to get her attention- and it did - and she paused the show.
"Oh, sorry! This was my favorite show, ready to go home, I suppose?"
"Yeah." I answered.
Misty turned the TV off and grabbed the keys in the bowl by the counter. She gestured for me to follow her outside and I did. She walked towards a Range Rover and unlocked the doors.
"You guys must be rich." I whispered in awe.
"Just average. My mom is a lawyer and my dad is a surgeon."
"Average? Not just anyone can buy a Range Rover, you know." She laughed.
"You should've seen my brother's car, it was a sports car with tinted windows and such. Should've been mine." I laughed.
"Type your address on the GPS and I'll just follow it." I did what she asked and when the directions loaded, we took off.
"That's my brother's clothes, by the way."
"Oh! Sorry I don't have anything to wear and---"
"Don't need to say sorry! I'm pretty sure he has a lot- and I mean a lot of clothes left for him to wear." She smiled.
"Thanks. You and your brother are very kind."
"We we're raised by good parents so...thank them and not us!" We laughed.
We remained silent throughout the whole trip towards my house. Misty was good at driving so we arrived in front of my house in no time. I hopped down and closed the door, looking back at Misty one last time.
"Thanks again, Misty. I'll return these as soon as possible." I gestured to the clothes.
She laughed, "No need! Like I told you, he has many clothes left to wear."
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and gave it to Misty, "Type in your number and your brother's so we can keep in touch." She typed in the digits and gave the phone back to me.
"Thanks again, Misty. I hope we can hang soon."
"Sure thing! Just shoot me a text anytime! Bye, Joy!"
"Bye!" I waved at her.
Misty waved back and drove away.

"What was that about being dangerous of controlling my dreams?" I asked Lourence who was seated in front of me and Dylan next to him.
"Oh, yes! Completely forgot about that. Well, according to my research, when you controlled your dream, you'll be forgetting parts of it bit by bit and the length of each dream will be shorter than the last."
"What? No! That dream was like...my life!"
"I know, that's why I was shocked when you controlled it." He sighed.
"So where you been this morning?" Dylan asked. He was like a ghost now that Lourence is here, appearing and disappearing in the conversation. "I saw you waving at someone in a Range Rover."
"Oh. Well...quite funny story actually." I rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly.
"Do tell, we have all day." Lourence said in a posh-British accent that made me chuckle.
"Simple story, I can't sleep so I went for coffee, I was walking down the street when someone pulled me into an alleyway and almost raped me---"
"You we're almost WHAT!?" Lourence and Dylan screamed at once.
"Agh! I can feel my eardrums crying, guys!" I said. "I was almost raped, almost! But Misty's brother saved me."
"Who's Misty?" Lourence asked.
"She was the sister of the guy who saved me. Never knew the guy's name, though."
"Well good thing you're safe, Joy. Be careful next time, okay? Or bring a can of pepper spray or a taser next time you went out late on your own." Dylan explained.
I laughed quietly, "You sound like my dad, you know." And we laughed.

To: Misty =))))
Hi Misty! It's Joy. Thank you again for the help and the clothes. Hang soon and goodnight! :)
I sent the text message and waited for her reply but I didn't got one, she's asleep now obviously. It's 2:11 AM and I can't seem to get myself to sleep. I remembered Misty's brother and decided to give him a text saying thanks. I scrolled through my contacts and checking one by one for the unfamiliar name- curse my memory for forgetting asking Misty the name of her brother. When I got to the J's, one caught my eye and making me sit upright on my bed.
"Jerson Michael Adam [My brother! -Misty]"
No sleep for me tonight.
