Taehyung opens the door and finds Jimin and Hoseok outside, holding their phones and smiling widely at him. They immediately hug him tightly before Taehyung could say anything.
"Happy birthday tae!!" The two excitedly say and Taehyung smiles, hugs them back.
"Thanks guys." Taehyung whispers and closes his eyes, let's himself be in embrace of his best friends
He forgets that he got no message from Jeongguk, he was waiting for it, he tries to assure himself that Jeongguk did wish him in Hoseok's post and it should be enough because why would Jeongguk post about him or wrote a whole paragraph when they don't even know eachother properly.
Still, Taehyung was expecting a text, a single text that would be only between him and Jeongguk. He then stops himself, tells himself that this how it's been for three years. Just because they talked and became project partners doesn't mean Jeongguk is miraculously in love with him.
He looks forward to the dinner though that he, Jimin and Hoseok arranged tonight. He even invited Jin and Namjoon through Yoongi. He's looking forward to that.
He smiles, remembering he got so many wishes right in the first our. His mum and dad being so dramatic and sending him a video recording as usual.
