Running late

Wang Yibo's P.O.V

I came in about five minutes ago and the producer was now briefing me on some techniques that they plan on using for filming.
Not many persons were on set today since the actual filming will start tomorrow but the producers wanted to introduce the next main lead to me so we can get a bit more familiar with each other. I've never met this person that I know of. I heard his name was Xiao Zhan and I had to admit that he must be excellent at acting to get the part. From what I've read so far in the beginning scrips, his part is much more complicated than mine to play.
I only have to say few words and keep a stoic expression while his lines are endless. That's because his character is a chatterbox.

Since I've came a few minutes early than the arranged time, I decided to spend the time seeing what exactly was expected from this drama. The producer was planning on introducing us but Xiao Zhan was running late. It's been about twenty minutes and he hasn't showed up.

The producer had to leave since she had urgent matters to attend to and I didn't really have any other plans for the morning so I didn't mind waiting.
I don't like when persons come late when a specific time was agreed upon but in this case it is the first time we are meeting and I don't know why he is running late so I'll wait. The cafeteria was empty but that was good since I don't appreciate useless talking. I pulled out my phone and went online to pass time.

Xiao Zhan P.O.V

I am currently hurriedly getting ready since I've remembered I had a meet with the producer and the next main lead Wang Yibo at nine.

It's not my fault since I set an alarm yesterday but I missed it. I forget to turn the volume up and the alarm screamed silently at me and obviously I couldn't hear so I didn't get up.
It's Saturday so my body naturally is accostumed to waking up a bit later than usual hence the rush.
It's 8:30 and by the time I'm done readying it will be around 8:50. There is no way I'm making it on time since the set is a 40 minute drive from where I live.

What a great way to introduce myself at the first meet. I didn't want to mess this up since this Wang Yibo guy must be a great actor to get the role as Lan Wanji. That role is extremely hard to play since it requires you to keep one face all the time and barely talk. I think there might be a negative one percent of a chance for me to play that role.
I won't survive in that role since I'll get bored easily. I prefer Wei Wuxian's role since you can talk a lot and not get bored. For him to pull off Lan Zhan's role, he must be skilled since I've never met anyone who won't get bored in a quiet place and who detests talking.

I made it to the studio almost half an hour late. Even though filming begins tomorrow, I could see a few persons in the yard. Using the directions that was given to me I started towards the cafeteria. Hopefully they haven't left already since I'm very late. I don't like to be late but I couldn't help it sometimes.

I opened the cafeteria and at first I thought it was deserted but then I spotted someone in the far end. His back was to me and I couldn't see his face but it appeared he was on a phone.
I dont know why I am listening to my mind but I found myself being obedient. It told me to sneak up on the person and scare them even though I didn't know it was who.
I guess I can't miss such a golden opportunity and so I sneaked up to him. He didn't notice since he was taken up with his phone.

I dropped my hands on his shoulders at the same time saying 'freeze'. He jumped and turned around swinging an arm to hit me but thanks to my quick reflexes I dodged in time.
I started laughing and then realized I should probably stop since I don't know the person. Im guessing it's Yibo though since he was the only one in the cafeteria.

I looked at him and saw that he was slightly annoyed but trying to hide it. I pulled myself together and stuck out my hand.
'Xiao Zhan'
He looked at me for a second before shaking my outstretched hand and saying
'Wang Yibo'
