I quickly get up and run towards him. Flipping his body towards me. I feel for a pulse but it's slowly stopping and so is his heart. "No...", I say. "NO not again. I can't lose someone else in my life." I call out his name. "Rhys?" I panic. He's not responding. "RHYS?" I yell his name louder. The man in the car that hit him jumps out to check on us.

"Omg I am so sorry." He says in apology. "I-I didn't see you coming. "I-" I stop him there. "Look sir I don't know your name. I-" He cuts me off. "My name is George... George landcaster" I look up at him. "Well George I don't know if I could forgive you for nearly killing me and hopefully not killing my boyfriend, but I must say that this situation is kind of my fault...well both of our faults. We both weren't really paying attention right? I didn't see you cause I was on my phone and you didn't see us for whatever reason that is I don't really care." I say with tears falling from my eyes. I was upset. Upset that I wasn't paying attention. Upset that I didn't listen to my boyfriend caIling my name. I look down at Rhys. I soon hear sirens blaring. I look over to my right to see an ambulance and three police officers. I have blood on my shirt and arms and hands. At this point Rhys has bled out. He looks and seems like he won't live. I look down with pity until a police officer comes over to me.

"Ms..?" He looks at me confused. "Oh Ms. Blake." I answer. Slowly standing up from the kneeling position. "Well Ms. Blake is that your boyfriend over there?" I look over to where they're putting Rhys on a stretcher into an ambulance. I look back at the officer. "Yes...." I pause. "That's my boyfriend." I look back at the now closed ambulance doors with Rhys in it. They pull away with the sirens blaring and Rhys body leaving me. "Ma'am?, Ma'am?" I finally hear someone saying. I look towards the officer. "Ma'am are you ok? Can you tell me what happened?" He asks with concern in his voice. "Ah erm..." I pause and look away. I feel tears in my eyes start to form and then they finally fall. I start to cry, I collapse to the ground in front of the officer and cry. "IT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME!" I yell. "I SHOULD'VE BEEN THE ONE NOT HIM!" The officer crouches in front of me. Putting his hand on my shoulder. "Ma'am listen..." He pauses. "I understand that the man who hit Rhys was at fault, but that doesn't mean you should say that it should've been you." I get myself together and nod. "But...I should've-" He stops me. "We all make mistakes, ok it's ok you're not at fault." He tells me. "Have a nice day Ms. Blake. I'll be calling or emailing you a copy of the report and everything about Mr. Rhys." I say ok and watch him walk away. Soon everything changed...not just for me but for everyone else as well.
