Liam had to start strumming his guitar around two in the morning. It didn't do much to drown out the moaning and wall-banging coming from Ethan's bedroom.
How were Dave and Ethan so loud?
How were they making that much noise? Liam wasn't even sure what he was playing anymore. His face was burning red, and his fingers were all over the fretboard in blind panic.
Morgan flopped down onto the bed beside him and slid a hand onto Liam's thigh, smirking as his fingers crept up under his boxers. Liam let out a strangled laugh, grabbing his wrist.
"What's with that gorgeous look on your face right now?" Morgan asked.
Liam swore he could feel his own heartbeat pulsing in his cheeks.
Morgan laughed softly and gave his thigh a gentle squeeze. "What's going on, baby?"
Liam stared down at the strings, still strumming, praying his embarrassment wasn't radiating off of him in waves.
A slow grin crept across Morgan's face. "Ah. Is it 'cause Dave is absolutely wrecking Ethan right now?"
Liam's eyes widened. He stayed silent, strumming harder.
"I hope my advice helped that guy," Morgan said, flopping back with an arm over his eyes. "I was really damn honest with him. He got pretty pissed at me."
"What did you say to him?" Liam asked, trying not to let his voice crack.
"I told him he never told or showed Ethan how he felt. He just stared at him like a complete fucking creep from across the room. I probably did the same with you."
Liam frowned. "Well, I told Ethan how Dave felt—"
"And that didn't work, did it?" Morgan snorted. "It had to come from Dave."
Liam looked away. Ugh. He hated that Morgan had a point. Ethan clearly hadn't understood just how deep Dave's feelings went until now.
Which meant... Morgan was the one who got them together.
Not Liam.
"I told Dave he had to be direct. Actually say something. Do something. Not just... vibe at him from across the house. He never flirted, never said anything. Just gave him bedroom eyes and hoped for the best."
Liam's fingers stopped strumming when Ethan's moans rose in pitch again. He slapped a hand over his face, horrified.
More wall banging.
Then he heard Dave, too. Low, deep, absolutely not okay. He started playing louder in pure self-defense.
"They're loud," Morgan said with a laugh. "Good for Dave. He probably has a huge—"
"Morgan!"
"I was gonna say a huge chip off of his shoulder, Liam. Jesus. Get your mind out of the gutter."
The look on Morgan's face was far too smug.
"Also, I'm just sayin'... I've never heard Ethan that loud even when Julian was—"
"Morgan," Liam groaned, barely holding back laughter. "Quit being gross, that's my best friend."
"Your best friend is getting his ass pounded into next week—"
"Morgan!" Liam squeaked.
The wall behind their headboard banged loud enough to shake the bedframe.
Liam yelped, jumped off the bed, and dropped his guitar. "Oh my god—"
"Is he okay?!" Morgan asked through a laugh.
