When I wake up, I feel uneasy. I was in a kennel and lying on soft blankets. I remember what happened with the human. I am lucky the human did not kill me… But why? I think to myself. I walk to the entrance and see that it is unlocked. I poke my head out to see the human that shot me talking to another human. I slink out and run for my life. I run straight into brambles. They tear at my pelt but I make it through. I hear the humans following me. I run into a clearing.

“Help me!” I howl as a rope raps around my neck. The human pulls on the rope and it tightens. Then, two comets shoot out of the bushes.

“LEAVE OUR SISTER ALONE HUMANS!” The two comets were Snowflake and Ice! The human pulls me closer and grabs my muzzle as my brother and sister take on the other human. He puts a muzzle on me and starts to drag me away when I plant my paws and pull against him. Then, Snowflake breaks away from the fight and breaks the rope. I claw off the muzzle and together we force the human into a cave. The other human runs away. Ice walks over with blood dripping from his mouth.

“Now, what should we do with you?”

The human backs into a corner.

“What is your name human?”

“My name is Artemis Fowl and what are your names?”

“I am Ice and these are my sisters Snowflake and Frost.”

“Nice to meet you. Now will you let me leave?”

“No.”

We walk towards him. I see him grab a branch. He swings it and hits Ice in the head. Snowflake lunges at him, but he brings the branch back around and she goes flying against a tree and lands with and ugly thud. I run to see if she is okay. A shadow falls over me.

“Good night Frost.” Then I am knocked out.
