But they all heard his quiet apology, and the crack in his voice as he left.

“The hell’s with him?” Bakugou asked, trying not to let his worry show in his voice.

When the six of them stood, their classmates found interest in their laps. Not a single one of them looked up to meet their fellow student’s eyes. The group of friends slipped on their shoe, and left.

🐥after a pretty silent walk, they arrive at UA🐥

“I swear everytime I walk into this building, I feel like I’m never gonna come out.” Kaminari laughed.

“Please don’t jinx us.” Mina whined.

They all laughed before finally entering the school. As usual, the halls were full, even though it was a three day weekend. Bustling students and teachers were everywhere, conversations overlapping each other.

The crowd parted like the red sea for Bakugou and Deku though, no matter what they were doing. The two of them and Todoroki, were the new big three, so eyes were constantly on them. There was a clear path all the way to Nezu’s office.

“I’m not ready for this.” Deku whispered, hands squeezing his boyfriend’s.

“I know, let’s just get this over with.” Bakugou said quietly, before pulling his hand from Deku’s to knock.

Everyone’s breath was shallow and quiet as they waited for the door to open. Seconds seemed like hours, but finally the door swung open. A well dressed, two foot tall white rat stared at them, with an all too human smile.

“Principal Nezu.” Bakugou regarded him with a weary gaze. Nezu did nothing but smile back. He walked back into his office, closing the door after they all walked in.

There was a table in the middle of the room, Aizawa and Midnight sitting on one side, six empty chairs on the other.

“Please sit.” MIdnight smiled weakly, almost sadly. She gestured for them to sit. Everyone quietly sat down, staring at their teachers.

“Are we in trouble?” Kirishima asked, breaking the silent tension. Still, Midnight’s smile was sad, and Aizawa wouldn’t meet their eyes.

“Of course not! Quite the opposite actually. We have a mission for you!” Nezu laughed.

“What’s the catch?” Bakugou asked.

    “Excuse me-”

“What. Is. The. Catch. There has to be a catch, or I have a feeling that we would only be talking to one of you.”

Nezu sighed and handed each of them their own case file, a large red CLASSIFIED stamp on the front of each.

.........................................................................
File Type: Mission
Type: Delta
Orders: Eliminate Jade River leader/members/associates.

Jade River: A class S mafia organization, located in the middle of Seoul, Korea.

Estimated # of Members: 300+

Quirk Range of Upper Class Members: Alpha-Charlie
.........................................................................

“The hell do you mean, ‘Eliminate Jade River leader, members, and associates.’?! You want us to kill 300 or more people? It doesn’t even say what they did!” Deku jumped up, his voice raised.

“We prefer the term eliminate. And they are suspected for drug trafficking.”

“You want us to go on a DELTA mission, which is impossibly difficult, because they are suspected to have drugs? Do you even have solid evidence that they do? Why not let the pro heroes handle it?” Mina argued.

“Are you not heroes?”

“You are treating us like we are expendable.” Kirishima growled.

“What is the likelihood that we will come back alive, or even be successful?” Deku asked, throwing his file on the table.

No one answered him. Nezu shifts in his seat, now not bothering to smile. Midnight wiped away stray tears, because she wasn’t stupid. She knew damn well that her students wouldn’t make it out alive if they went. But it wasn't her call. Nor was it Aizawa’s. It was Nezu’.

“Answer me, now!”

“Midoriya please-” Nezu started.

“7%...” Aizawa whispered. Mina choked out a sudden sob, hand clamped around her mouth.

“Wh-what…?” Kaminari asked, tears welling in his eyes, as he stared at Aizawa, then Midnight.

“There is a 7% chance that you will be successful in this mission.”

No one moved, no one breathed. Finally, Bakugou stood with Deku. His face was void of emotion, but his stare pierced through Aizawa’s soul. Once he caught eye contact with Aizawa, he wouldn’t look away.

“How many of us do you expect to come back alive.”

“...none of you will. There’s no chance... any of you will make it out of there... successful or not.” Midnight spoke up, her blank eyes glazed over with tears, but at least she had the respect to look them in the eyes.

“You expect us to go on a suicide mission, knowing DAMN WELL WE WILL DIE, AND YOU DON’T HAVE A FUCKING CARE IN THE WORLD!?” Bakugou shouted, hands slammed on the table.

“No! We won’t do it!” Sero stood, making his way to the door. Kirishima, Kaminari, and Mina followed him as well. Nezu gave a challenging stare towards Midoriya, before leaning forward.

“If you do not accept this mission, you will be expelled. All of you. I suggest you think about your decision more. You have till tomorrow afternoon.”

🐥 well shit me bricks 🐥

Everyone sat quietly at the kitchen table. Their classmates had long since evacuated to their rooms when Bakugou and everyone else walked in quietly crying. They didn’t know what happened, but they did what was good for them and stayed out of it.

“What are we gonna do?” Mina whispered, somewhat to herself, somewhat to her friends. She stared into her tea, hoping maybe her tea leaves would form an answer.

“Either we all go, or we are all expelled.” Sero added, rubbing his head.

Most would think the answer would be easy, to just get expelled. But, they had risked their life’s hundreds of times, because they had trained and worked so hard to become a hero. And now that they were, could they just give up now? But you can’t be a hero if you’re dead.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t. I can’t go on the mission.” Kaminari sniffled, burying his head into his arms.

“Then it's final, we aren’t going. They said we all go, or we all get expelled. And if Pikachu is out, then we are all out. I’m not about to force him into this.” Bakugou spoke up, nodding at Kaminari when he glanced up at him.

"Well, since we’re going to have a bunch of extra time, I think we should take a little road trip.”
