"WAKE UP SLEEPING BEAUTY" calls Beth from the kitchen.
I snap back into reality, groan, and pull back the blankets while sitting up to find my slippers.
I walk into the kitchen to be greeted by my best friend, " Morning Beth" I say. She smiles and I look around our cozy apartment.
Beth and I have been best friends since diapers, she was there when things were falling apart at home, she was the one who held me to calm me down and ran away with me from home when we turned 18 because my dad became abusive towards my mom and I.
Now we're living in Vancouver in a two-bedroom apartment, getting by on small acting jobs here and there.
"Sophie! I snap out of my thoughts and look at the clock. shit, I'm gonna be late for my audition.
"Sorry Beth, but I'm gonna be late" I get dressed and grab my bag.
I'm driving to the set of a new show called "Riverdale" It's kinda like scooby doo but crazier and with actual people.
As I'm parking in the parking lot I noticed a really cute blonde-haired boy leaning against the brick wall smoking a cigarette and randomly I got a strong urge to call out to him.
Me being me, I stupidly did, not knowing he would be the death of me.''Hey Blondie, you know that's bad for you?!" He looks at me and chuckles.
I reach my hand out to him " I'm Sophie" he grabs it.
Omg, his hand is so big and soft except for the calluses on his upper palm. "I'm Cole," he replies.
"I would love to stay and chat, but I gotta go I have a big audition to get to." he says sharply "oh me too" I shyly mention " well then malady soph let's get us inside then. He grabs my hand and leads me to the check-in desk.
When we get to the desk he speaks up, " So, what role are you going for?" I look up at him from writing my fill out the form "Betty, you?" he smiles and states " No way I'm trying out for your second love interest "Jughead Jones" he smiles while we take a seat waiting for our names to be called.
The only slots left were for pairs so we decided to do it together which made me feel better knowing I won't be alone even though he is a stranger
. Until we were called we just sat and talked, he was surprisingly easy to talk to and it really helped calm me down.
Then a lady in a suit walked out of one of the doors and called for us to come inside.
Once inside we were asked to recreate bughead's first kiss and holy shit I was freaking out.
I have to kiss this hot guy I just met?! Okay calm the fuck down Sophie it can't be that bad right? I mean Beth kisses randomly hot guys all the time.
I take a deep breath, " okay cole lets do this" I look at him with confidence. He nods and smiles.
We jump right into the script and as I'm reading through the script I get more and more nervous.
when we get to the part I've been dreading Cole looks directly at me.
Ok, here it is, this is the moment, just breathe Sophie.
Suddenly he moves towards me, gently grabs my head and leans in to kiss me.
The moment his lips touch mine I felt something different, I guess you could say I felt a spark between us.
I never felt that way with a guy so If It weren't for the damn producer and director we would have kept going, that meant he might have felt the same.
We turned to hear the constructive criticism from the producers " You guys need a bit of work on the facial expressions but other than that you guys were amazing. You guys have great chemistry. We will most definitely look into having you guys play these characters."
