Once enough of my tears had soaked into the pillow, I rolled over to beginning making what would be my last phone calls to anyone I actually cared about.

I started dialing Lisa's number since she was the last person I spoke to last night.

"Y/N! What's going on?! I got the itinerary that you sent but I'm beyond confusing as of what's happening right now! Are you quitting?? Are you handing the company over to me? I can't handle all this pressure! When are you coming back?"

Lisa's millions of questions started to give me a headache.

"Lisa, first of all breathe. Second of all no, no, and I don't know."

"That doesn't properly answer my question! I called you when I got home but you didn't answer so I had assumed that you went to bed early even though you wouldn't normally do that. And then this morning you send me the next 7 months worth of work with no explanation??"

I took a deep breathe trying to get my story together.

"Something urgent came up and I have to go away for a while. I'm not quitting but I am simply putting the company in your hands for the time being. This is only temporary and you may hire an assistant for yourself if the work begins to become too much."

"Does this have anything to do with the dates last night? Are you in any danger? This is all my fault..."

"Lisa. It has nothing to do with that okay?"

I hate literally lying through my teeth but I had to reassure her that I was physically safe.

"Alright then. Are you sure you're okay? Are you home?" I could hear the sadness in her tone.

"No I had to leave as soon as possible. And um..."

I was hesitant to tell her the last part knowing she'll freak out.

"This will the last time we will be speaking for while."

"WHAT?!"

My ears.

"You will do fine. Don't worry." I then heard foot steps coming up the stairs.

"Lisa, I've got to go. You'll do great, I trust you okay?"

"Y/N, take care and please be safe." I could hear her voice cracking.

"Lisa I-"

The line cut.

I jumped at the sound of the door open behind me. I looked up to see an annoying Jungkook in the doorway.

"Why were you on the phone so long? Who did you call?"

My blood started to boil. "I wasn't even on the phone for 5 minutes!!!"

"Well are you done?" He asked sarcastically.

"No. I still have one more phone call. You said I had 2." I said grinding my teeth.

He shrugged and walked out. "Don't take as long on the next one. Dinner will be ready soon."

I rolled my eyes and sighed. This last call was going to be the hardest.

I dialed the number and anxiously waited as it rung.

"Hello?"

"Hi mom." I blurted out as my eyes watered and voice started to break.

"Y/N? Did you change your number sweetie?" My mother asked.

"Temporary, yes." I stated trying to keep it short so I wouldn't break down.

Like the mind reader she is my mother asked, "Honey, are you alright? You seem off."
