Shōyō was tired. Tired of being ignored, and tired of giving a shit.

It was a week till their 7th anniversary. So, Shōyō being Shōyō, compiled a mental list of all the reasons he wasn't as excited.

He knew exactly why, he knew it would turn out the same. The same as every year.

Every Damn Year.

3rd Anniversary

Shōyō was nervous. It was their 3rd anniversary. He prepared a small cake, wine, and set up some streamers.

Sitting in a bundle of nerves since he sat down on their fairly expensive couch, he waited. For a while. To him anyways.

They were only a half hour late, but Shōyō still felt his heart beat slightly faster when he heard the keys jingling in the door.

Checking one last time to make sure everything was perfect, he rushed to the hallway, waiting for his lovers to open the door.

When they did however, Shōyō wasn't greeted by smiles, but frowns. Kenma looked at him, the corner of his lips twitching only slightly.

"Hey Shōyō... I'm sorry but, we're tired, we need to rest, please..." Kenma spoke softly. Shōyō was a bit dejected by this, but nodded anyways. He was no partner if he refuse to let his lovers get any rest.

Shōyō moved out the way for Kuroo and Kenma to make their way down the doorway. Only noticing how neither of them even glanced into the living room.

He understood, sort of, that they were just tired. His lovers would sleep, and then they could celebrate tomorrow morning.

That wasn't the case though.

Shōyō woke up, expecting to wake up to his lovers by his side, however he woke up to nothing.

He still smiled though. 'They're probably in the living room waiting for me!' He thought.

Again, not the case.

He skipped into the living room, only to see an empty couch. He glanced into the kitchen. Empty.

He looked into every room, and last, was Kenma's gaming room. Only Kenma was allowed in there. It was opposite to their bedroom. Other side of the house, so hwy was it, that when he opened the door almost silently.

He saw his two lovers, wrapped in eachother's embrace, looking warm and comfortable, on Kenma's couch.

Shōyō blinked, then quickly shut the door. He sped down to the living room, and removed everything. He threw the cake out and drank all three glasses of expensive, tearing down the streamers in the process.

His lovers didn't wake up till the very late afternoon, greeted by Shōyō sitting on the couch, the TV on almost silent, and on he phone with someone.

His voice was cracking at different intervals, but they took no note of that, only giving their ginger boyfriend a kiss on each cheek.

Shōyō only flinched slightly, but kept talking on the phone, probably to say goodbye to whoever he was talking with.

Shōyō was upset. He understood the two were tired, but they didn't even bring up their anniversary.

Shōyō sighed. 'I'll try again next year,"

4th Anniversary

Shōyō did try again. Of course.
