"What are you doing here... Aphrodite?"
Aphrodite looked at her before covering her mouth and laughing. It got the entire room looking but a simple look and they all seemed to go back to there own business.
"Ohh, still giving people the cold shoulder. I thought you would have dropped it by now. Such a pretty face shouldn't get angry so easily."
Aphrodite took a seat in Bell's chair and rested her elbows on the side leaning into her hands.
"Ohh how long has it been since we last saw each other?"
Artemis continued to give the goddess the cold stare it was, one of the few people she didn't even try to get along with.
"I asked you first!"
The goddess of beauty sighed.
"I'm here on vacation..."
She didn't believe it, the quick response was obviously rehearsed and if she disliked one thing about people it was there ability to lie.
"Vacation? Really? No offence but you should have no reason to even think about coming here. Need you remember this city already has two prominent goddesses of beauty... You lot are known to be territorial after all?"
Aphrodite shrugged and smiled as if she didn't have a care in the world.
"I'm not tied down by a Familia, the whole world is my playground after all. Besides, while Ishtar is the kind to get angry and jealous that's only in her district, as for Freya, we know she wouldn't attempt to make any type of scene to spoil her perfect image!"
The note of spite at the end was clear that the two had bad blood. But she was right, even in heaven Freya was always the kind to smile and get on never taking risks unless the time was right. That's why she was so feared for her and Loki's revolt on Zeus and Hera.
"Seriously that Silver-haired bitch thinks she's so much better than everyone, but she'll never admit it in public no..."
Artemis grew tired of her rant of Freya.
"Yes, yes well if you're not gonna tell me, then I'll assume you have finished with the small talk?"
"Ohh Artemis no no, I still want to know why you're here? After all, you were still a hermit last time we meet..."
She looked at the other girl and thought for a moment, she couldn't remember their last meeting, which was strange especially since she had a good memory and conversion with Aphrodite was hard to forget."C-certain things happened..."
Aphrodite looked at her.
'More then you know apparently...'
"I heard your Familia was whipped out... My condolences."
Artemis felt it, the thing she wanted to know since she arrived. Part of her wanted them to be alive but now... Well, at least she had clarification.
"So they really are all dead..."
Aphrodite was the first to be shocked. But the look of sadness on the girl sad it best.
"You didn't know? Guess I'm the bearer of bad news... I'm sorry"
Artemis looked over to Bell who was paying their bill. She wanted to cry but she had resided to never see them again anyway.
"No...It's fine, I knew it couldn't have been good news for them..."
Aphrodite looked at the blue-haired girl. She was always so strong-willed and never showed her emotions except to her close friend. Now it was obvious that she was trying hard to not show it.
