SCP # 10456
Object Class: Euclid
Containment Procedures: Uncontained
Description: SCP-10456 is an alternative dimension. It appears similar to the Baroque period in western Europe. However a type of magic exists in this dimension that while not overly common is also not rare. This magic is used to create technologies more reflective of a late victorian period. Such as hot running water, lighting, and the instant exchange of short messages. It may also be used in the manufacturing of consumer goods, as they appear to be far more complex than the non-magical technological level of the dimension appears capable of. As of now, the denizens of the dimension are generally unaware of the existence of other dimensions. There are magical theories regarding the existence of alternative dimensions, but none seem to detail any specifics regarding our own dimension. As far as we are aware they have no intent either threatening nor benign towards our dimension.
The Classification of this SCP is temporary, assigned only for ease of reference within the following log. It has not been approved.

Log Day 00
The exact method of my arrival to this plane is unclear. Despite preventative measures a cognito hazard has resulted in the loss of any memories regarding the immediate events proceeding my arrival in this dimension. I can not precisely recall the date, though I'm sure it was a weekday in October of 20XX. It could be no later than October 31st as that was the date of my official transfer to the Ethics Committee.
Due to this lack of information, I will endeavor to account the events of my arrival as accurately as I can recall them. It has only been about six hours since, so I believe this account to be fairly accurate. Though I have taken liberties with the dialogue as I did not have a recorder handy with which to record the event more directly. I hope I do not skew the events in any way through this retelling.
Arriving felt like waking from a dream. I awoke with the strange disorientation of that brief moment where you are awake, but somehow still sure that the dream was reality. Instead of fading away in exchange for wakefulness the feeling lingered. I was aware of my body in a way I wasn't sure if I had been in the dream. I knew only that this body was different, smaller and weaker.
I was lying on something hard and flat, staring up at a white ceiling. I had the odd thought that the crown molding was beautiful. I couldn't place where I was, or where I thought I should be instead. This thought didn't worry me, but it filled me with a mild sense of curiosity. My head was still fuzzy unsure if this was reality or another dream. Nothing seemed terribly important, and time seemed immaterial.
I sat up slowly. As I did the world around me slowly revealed itself. I was lying on the floor in a great empty room. The wall directly across from me was covered completely in mirrors like in a dance room. It gave me an excellent view of myself. The person in the mirror was not me the way I saw myself, but someone else entirely. Yet she raised her head as I did and moved her hands to her lap as I did. I raised a hand to my face and the girl in the mirror copied the motion.
The girl in the mirror was very unlike me. Her skin was fair and clear, lacking the rough worn tan that I was familiar with. It was young and soft, none of the lines that had etched their way into my skin over the years was there. I lifted one hand to my temple, but I already knew the scar there was gone. Even as I brushed away the girl's thick black hair. Her warm brown eyes though were familiar in a way, the shape was narrower than my own but the color was the same. They lacked any lines around them, not even crow's feet.
