Chapter 5: The Date

Perrie's POV

After spending the last week in Jade's office, I felt like I was ready to go back to my classes. "You know you don't have to do this if you can't.", Jade says as we sit in her car. She places her hand on my knee in a way of comfort and I put mine over her slightly bigger one. "I'll be ok Jade. And if I'm not I'll promise to call you.", I say looking at her. "Alright, go on then. Remember I'm a call away.", she says watching me leave. I turn and nod before she sighs and pulls off. "Where have you been girl? I thought you were sick, looks like Jade has you playing hooky.", Kirin laughs as he elbows my side. "I was sick. I just missed her after being with her the whole weekend so I didn't feel good.", I say walking with him.

"That's totally understandable. But on a related note, you got yourself a sugar momma? She looked rich.", he says. I laugh with him and rub my arm. "I guess you could say that. I think we're dating but neither of us have actually acknowledged anything.", I say. "I thought only guys did that. Why are they so oblivious?", he says. "Look who's back.", Alex says as we sit down at our table. "Hey guys.", I say with a small wave. "You feeling any better?", Alex asks. "Yeah I'm fine now. Jade made sure I felt better.", I answer. "Look who's got a girlfriend.", Quincy teases poking my arm. I loop my finger through the choker on my neck and grin. "I don't know if we're dating. She's very reserved but I can tell that she cares about me.", I say.

"Pez, there's someone for you in the office.", a friend of mine says. "We are so coming with.", Jude says standing up. I walk up to the main building and see familiar curly hair. "Leigh-Leigh!", I say hugging her. "Hey Pez, Jade told me to bring you this.", she smiles handing me a bag. "What's in it?", I ask. "I was told not to look in it. But she said that she can't wait to see you after your classes are done.", she answers. "What did you take here? I thought your car was getting repainted?", I say. "Why don't you come look for yourself.", she grins. I follow her outside and my jaw drops. "You've got a motorcycle?", I ask. "It was my anniversary present. I always had wanted one and Jesy finally got me one.", she says with an excited glint in her eyes. "I guess you have to go back to work don't you?", I say sadly.

"Pez, Jade never told you what I do for work did she?", she questions. "I'm the geek behind the computer. I can find anyone, anywhere at any time. I usually just sit at home and do whatever research they send me. But I just go in with Jesy because of my separation issues.", she answers straddling her bike. "Oh and don't look so sad. I'm picking you up at the end of the day.", she winks driving off. "Are all of your friends rich?", Jason asks walking up to me. "I think so.", I answer with a shrug. "Are any of them single and gay?", he asks. "I think Claude is. But he's everywhere and no where so he might not even be here.", I say scratching behind my head.

"Claude!", I yell out. He runs up a few seconds later and looks at me. "How did you know I was here?", he asks. "Because you're still stalking Alex. Anyway, I'm going to class and you're going to go tell Jade that I don't want you watching me anymore.", I say patting his chest. "Whatever you want I guess.", he shrugs. "Stop yelling at me you midget. She told me what she wanted and you said to do whatever she said. Goodbye.", he says hanging up the phone. "Later. I'll bring you your lunch.", he says walking away. "Didn't get to ask your questions but he's fun.", I say with a shrug. "So do you just have random people that does stuff for you?", Quincy asks.

"Curtesy of Jade, yes I do. I'm pretty sure I could have a hit man if I asked.", I shrug walking to my first class. Lunch hour rolls around and instead of Claude, I see Leigh back on her bike. "Get on loser, we're getting lunch!", she says tossing me a helmet. "Does Jade allow me to ride this?", I ask. "What she doesn't know won't kill her. Plus she's never had a problem before.", she answers pulling out the parking lot. We drive through the streets for a while before coming up on my favorite burger place. "Let's go before your class starts.", she says looking at her watch.
