4. prophecy

a/n - before I begin this chapter I just want to thank everyone who supported me... I know it's cheesy but I mean it.
Also a big thanks to the queen herself, Strange Æons for not only reading my silly little fanfic but also being the nicest person on the planet.

Not to get all mushy up in here but I hope everyone is staying safe and that you and your loved ones are healthy, and most importantly, happy.

You were standing in front of Drew's front door, waiting anxiously for your reading. Even though you don't necessarily believe in it, you still felt dread in the pit of your stomach. The door of the apartment was a basil green color and the doorknob was the color of rusted bronze giving you a witchy vibe. Drew soon opened the door and you came inside, the room was filled with small charms and tapestries. When you turned around to close the door you saw the wall was covered in fairy lights. Overall the room had a very cozy atmosphere. Drew's mom entered the room completely shifting the mood, you felt immense respect for the woman. She was wearing a dark purple, long dress, her hair was long and natural, her makeup minimal and her jewelry endless. 
She warmly introduced herself: ''Hello, y/n right? I'm Sybil, Drew's mom, It's so nice to finally meet you, I heard so much about you.'' She gave me a wink and then gestured for me to sit down on the lime green sofa which occupied most of the living room. You followed her instructions. She went to the cabinet and opened the first drawer. She began scuffling the items inside, searching for something. Ruffling and the sound of her jewelry clanging could be heard as she was scavenging the drawer. All you could think about was how beautifully the whole room fit together. The vintage design made me feel like you were at your grandma's house, very safe. You ware filled with nostalgia and overall ~ great vibes ~ 

Sybil soon found the item - the tarot cards and sat across from me. She started shuffling the cards and placing them on the small desk in front of us. She began murmuring some words, You couldn't quite tell what she was saying but you did hear her say the words: positive, good, and future. She then asked you what you wanted to find out. After a bit of silence, you managed to build some confidence and say: ''I want to find out about this guy from school, he's super mysterious and really intimidating...''. ''Oh, I'm so silly, I already placed the cards! No problem, ill just shuffle them again,'' she said while chucking to herself and shaking her head. This made her seem a lot more human than before. She placed them down again and began to turn them one by one. There was silence for a bit, then she began talking. 

''I definitely see a connection, there will be something between the two of you in the future, but I'm not sure what... It might be a small chat, a friendship, or maybe even something more. There is a third party here however, something will come in between you two, I'm not sure you will get past it... but I don't think that will make you sad or disappointed, I actually think it will be for the best.'' she said thoughtfully. You were a bit stunned. At a loss for words. Just as you began to ask her to continue she said: ''This is a very mysterious one I must say, I can feel strong a energy but I cannot interpret it. I'm sorry." You didn't say anything, you just looked at the cards. You felt a bit disappointed but you didn't want to show it.

Drew's mom sighed and then got up. She walked to the same drawer and pulled out a small cotton baggie. She sat back down and revealed the contents of the bag. It was filled with small charms, and wooden pieces with numbers and letters written on them. ''I'm going to try and get some information this way'' she said with a smile.  She looked like she really loved doing what she did, she was glowing with excitement. She took the charms in her hand and shook them, then she threw the items gently on the floor. She examined them carefully. Most of the charms were upside down, but the few that were facing up were the letters: T, F, P, and D, the numbers: 3, 16, and 2, and a small wooden heart with a bandage on it...

Overall that was quite an eventful day. You were pleased with the reading. You were filled with optimism and excitement and at the very least you were happy to meet Drew's mom and hang out with them for a bit. You cant wait to find out what awaits you!
