I stood still in the alleyway where Hisoka left me for a little while before deciding that I should find somewhere to stay for the night. I held my arms around myself as I roamed York New City. The city lit up in the darkness of the night, but not much was open except for some hotels. Shit. I don't have any money. How am I going to stay somewhere with no money? It's too damn cold to stay out here for the night. I don't have my own nen ability to defend myself. I would use en if I could extend it far enough and maintain it for a while. I should start training something other than physical ability now that I left home. Hisoka was interested in my aura, but I haven't even trained it enough to be that noticeable. Speak of the devil, Hisoka just texted.
"What are you doing roaming the city all alone at this hour?~♡"
Is he watching me? I quickly looked around, but I didn't see anything. I looked up to the rooftops and finally saw his tall, muscular figure sitting on the edge of an office building. He noticed I was looking at him and smiled at me. He jumped down from the top of the building.
"Hey careful!" I yelled at him as he landed in front of me. He just kept that smile on his face as if he didn't just jump off a 20 story building.
"Were you watching me the entire time after you left?"
"I wanted to make sure you had somewhere to stay for the night. By the looks of it, I'm assuming you don't.~"
"And?" Oops, that sounded a little annoyed. What is he getting at anyway? It's kind of creepy how he's just been watching me this whole time.
"It's pretty late, Akari. Since you don't have anywhere to go, would you like to join me tonight?~"
"How did you know that I didn't have a place to stay?
"You would have been somewhere by now if you did.~"
He's right. I probably looked like an idiot just standing there for a while and then started wondering around like a little kid.
"Okay, you got me. Lead the way."
He immediately took my hand and led me through the city to a huge, expensive looking hotel. Jeez, he stays here? Who knew a man like this had that kind of money. He stopped us at the front desk asking for some towels to be brought up before pulling me to the elevator. We stepped in and he finally released my hand to press the button to the penthouse floor. PENTHOUSE?
"You stay in the penthouse?"
"If I'm going to stay somewhere, it may as well be the best, right?~"
He grinned and took my hand in his once again. I couldn't say anything. He is rich beyond words. I never thought I would meet someone with this much money before.
As the door to the elevator opened, he quickly pulled me into the huge room. There was a massive staircase and a huge hanging chandelier. Past the foyer, there was a huge open kitchen connected to the living room. The first thing I noticed was the view of the city through the huge glass windows. There was a hallway to a bathroom as well as some other rooms I didn't see the inside of. Hisoka let go of my hand and walked to the kitchen. I looked at the clock on the microwave that said 1:37am. I wasn't tired at all, but I was bored and kind of hungry. I looked at Hisoka who was taking ingredients from the fridge to make something.
"How did you know I was hungry?"
"I thought that you probably wanted something to eat after being out in the cold for so long.~"
"Yeah I am pretty hungry, thank you."
"Do feel free to get comfortable on the sofa in the other room. Room service is bringing up some towels for us soon.~"
