Where It all Began

When I think about my childhood

memories have been scattered

much like my body

my mind has been battered

Torn to pieces by life and many crude trials

Tears fell from my eyes, flowing as Nile.

Many years passed since I took my first breath

the older I get, the more my mind stress

A break is unheard of but only in life

for a break of the mind can happen with strife.

No recollection of age, in the kitchen with knife

'Twas held to my chest as I pondered on life

 I wasn't old enough then

to make a good choice

so I dried my eyes and lowered my voice.

Many things happened from a very young age

in this book of life, it was a contents page

showing what happened or just what could

I had no say in what I thought should

Life hushed my whispers yet amplified my shouts

Eyes blaze like fire, nothings put it out

Roam through the connections just dredging about

Maybe life will change yet in my favor I doubt
