'I needed to protect this boy with everything I have' I think to myself, keeping that promise deep inside my heart, never betraying it. I looked up at Gon and saw he was smiling sheepishly at me, as i looked at him a bit confused. But I start thinking for a minute, and nothing but a question floods through my head, getting eager to know the answer.
I clench the notebook in my hands slightly, writing down a question as Gon looks at what I'm righting, filled with curiosity as well. I hand him his green and white notebook back.
'So you said your deaf, but you can still speak without hearing yourself right?'
Gons face turns a light shade of pink, his face soon becoming flushed with a darker shade. He picks up the pen and starts writing back a reply.
'Yes I can, but I think I may sound weird as people have given me weird looks before.'
He hands me the notepad back, smiling at me as I read it. I look at him in the eyes as I see his handwritings a bit off, shakey to be exact, but that's probably due to him being nervous.
'Gon, you really think I'd make fun of you? We're friends right?'
Gon looks down at the words, slowly moving his hand to his chest as he clenched his heart. I ponder over if I may have accidentally did something wrong, as I was about to apologise but he started writing instead. I back up not wanting to disturb his concentration.
'No! In fact, I know you would never do such a horrible thing! Just tell me what you want me to say I guess!'
Gon handed me the notepad, shyly scratching his neck as he waits for me to reply.
I smile to myself as I know what I want to hear out of his delicate mouth.
'Killua.'
Gon looks at the notepad and smiles whilst having a blush paste over his face, just below his eyes. He looks up at me, nervous at what my reaction would be like, but he mustered up the courage as he took a step forward, holding onto the fence for support whilst his legs are trembling in fear.
"K-killoo-aah."
I look at Gon, he's a blushing mess as I stare into his eyes and mentally start squeezing my heart on the inside of myself. 'That was the cutest fucking thing I have ever heard out of someone's mouth.' I thought, as I quickly write another thing down, wanting Gon to say it in his adorable baby voice.
Gon reads the thing in his head first, I could tell. As he blushes and gulped a little.
"F-fweind!" Gon blurted out, sounding more confident as I jump up and down with the cuteness that's filling the empty air right now. I have so many words I want him to say for me! But, I don't want to stress him out too much, so I'll stop asking for things.
I shove the notepad towards him, gesturing that he could take it back now. He nods and puts the notepad away, as a lady came up to us behind Gon. She had light brown hair, and golden-brown eyes, except they were a lighter shade than Gons.
She notices me behind the fence and smiles at me as she speaks in a soft, calming tone, which made me ease up a little, "hello! You must be our new neighbour, right?" She looks down at me, as I slowly nod my head "yep, I live in that house behind me." I say bluntly, as the woman smiles at me in a kind manner of her own.
"So are you Gons friend?" She asks, as I nod my head again, giving her the same response from before.
"Awh that's good!" She states, clapping her hands together. "This means your Gons first friend!" She adds onto the end of her original sentence, as I lean back, arms placed being my head calmly.
I smile at the thought of being his first ever friend.
