Sirius and James were rebellious and very punk rock, they wore leather, listened to rock music and, most importantly, they loved skateboarding. They loved it so much McGonagall installed a skatepark by the quidditch pitch.
However, the other two Marauders hadn't stepped foot on a skateboard ever in their lives; both were too scared of falling and looking like idiots.
Remus was very tall and awkward so he knew he'd end up hurting himself a lot, and he didn't need more of that.
When the warm weather finally hit the UK, Sirius and James wouldn't leave their skateboards alone; they skated to class, to get food, in the skatepark during their free time, practiced tricks in the common room and once on the Hogwarts stairs. But Remus almost had a heart attack so they vowed to never do it again.
This morning remus and Peter were sat in the great hall, anxiously waiting for the two skateboards to come around the corner.
Instead two didn't come. Three did.
Sirius was first around the corner, doing a perfect kick flip as he stopped next to Remus.
"Morning Remmy, did you see what I did!?" Sirius was practically bouncing off the walls after getting it perfect, boosting his confidence for the day.
"I did see Pads, you were amazing" Remus wasn't lying with this, he was genuinely impressed with it so he stood up and wrapped Sirius in his arms.
"Moonyyyyyy you're making me look uncool... but if you let go I'll bite you."
Remus began laughing, it was music to Sirius's ears.
As their sweet moment ended, the sound of skateboards came again and James and Lily rounded the corner. Lily was definitely new to skateboarding but it suited her, her ginger hair flowed beautifully behind her as Sirius's leather jacket hugged her body nicely.
"James mate I think you've finally done it, she's you."
"Merlin she is, can I marry her now"
He was very unaware of how narcissistic is sounded but he didn't care, he loved this girl. And she actually loved him very much but hadn't told him since they'd been together about two weeks.
So she hopped off her board and kissed him.
"POTTERS AND EVANS WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT THE BOARDS!!! NOT IN THIS HALL!!!" McGonagall's voice suddenly boomer throughout the hall but they all knew she wasn't actually angry. Sirius was also beaming about being referred to as Potter and not Black.
They ran off laughing, Sirius grabbed Remus's hand to take him to the Hogwarts skatepark.
"Siri... I don't think I can do this..." he didn't want to disappoint Sirius at all but he was genuinely pretty scared.
"It's okay Moony I've got you, just stand on it sideways I'll hold you."
Sirius stood horizontal from the board and held his hands, helping him onto it; he swayed slightly, letting out a yelp of fear but he didn't fall.
"Perfect babe, now I would like you to put your left foot on the floor and push slightly and then put it back onto the board, okay?"
He gave it a go and immediately tumbled to the ground, Sirius unable to catch him.
"FUCK"
"Rem-"
"Nope I'm not doing this anymore"
This was an utter lie. Remus carried on skateboarding behind everyone's back to surprise Sirius.
*two months later*
June hit Hogwarts pretty fast and everyone was in high spirits. But not Sirius.
"God dammit where the hell is Remus? He misses breakfast so much and won't tell me why! Have I upset him!?" He groaned in frustration. Lily smiled to herself, knowing what Remus had planned.
Suddenly the sound of skateboard wheels were heard.
"Who's stealing our style Prongs?"
"Your boyfriend"
Sirius jerked his head up immediately and witnessed Remus Lupin riding in on his skateboard like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"What's the face for Pads? See something you like?" Remus wasn't usually confident like this so Sirius turned a deep shade of pink.
"Damn right I do."
