Chapter Two

It wasn't easy to rebuild what was lost, Lillian had to collect materials for Aurora and work for seeds to be replanted inside their home. Of course, with your help it was quite easy to move about without worry and it was easier to pinpoint areas that she had already checked. There needed to be food for the baby animals, and new baskets for the supplies that they managed to bring with them. Basically, it was a busy day for all three. Aurora used her sewing and weaving skills, Lillian was planting seeds within the garden, and you were bringing in leaves and flowers for your nest.

The cries of the animals, the gentle fall of water, the movement from everyone, and the soft sound of the breeze was all that was heard in those moments. No one was doing anything besides what was needed for their survival, they were on the route of reworking and fixing things to be suited like their last home. Throughout the day there were no words exchanged between them, they just worked in silence, but soon enough they had finished the long, tiring, and straining tasks. Which was a relief to the two young women, you on the other hand were still working on your nest. After Aurora had finished, she began to cook as she placed some of the meat and potatoes within a crudely made pot and set it upon a fire, all while Lillian did her last task and moved the animals to the small farm so they could eat and get comfortable in their new home.

"Everyone, it's time for dinner. How does meat and potato soup sound?" Aurora asked as she started to gently stir the soup with a wooden spoon, scooping some up and tasting it. Once she decided that the food had enough flavor and tasted well enough, she began to pour it into smaller bowls.

"Sounds good! I'm hungry... We've been busy since this morning," Lillian whined as she walked over to the small body of water so she could clean her hands. As she does so, her eyes wander over to the 'curtains' of their home entrance, she could see how dark it has gotten since the sun wasn't shining brightly against the large vines. She turned her attention away and began to walk over to Aurora when her stomach growled as a reminder for her to eat. 

You were quick to purr in response. You were hungry as well, but your main focus was your nest. It was an instinct as it was habit, your nest came first than your health since it was a way to make you comfortable and a reminder of home. You moved around leaves and flowers, even rocks into a circle shaped, making sure everything was firm and couldn't be blown away. 

Lillian took the offered bowl before Aurora made a bowl for herself then she poured a decent amount of the soup and larger pieces of meat into a larger bowl before she set it near your nest. Afterwards, she placed the pot away in a little shack before she began to eat her warm meal.
