Note: these are kids, who are like 5. So don't be surprised if they say colored pencil or sandbox or whatever

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!
...
Maybe it'll stop if I ignore it...
Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!
Ugh. CRASH! The sound of my hand smashing my alarm clock. Ow, why would I do that? I thought. 'Cause you're a stupid idiot, moron. Shut up, mind. The door opened with a creak as I hear
"Come on, Liliana! You gotta get to school!"
"I don't wanna! What's the point the kindergarten? Can I just skip to first grade already?" I mean, what's the point? It sounds a lot better; Preschool, First Grade, Second grade, and Third. It sounds better, right? How long has it been since she's told me to get up? Can puppies fly? Are princesses real? OH MY GOD....can I fly?
"One...Two..." Oh no, she can't get to three! In a split second, I was out of bed.
"Lily reporting for duty, Ma'am!" My hand across my forehead and my other behind my back. She giggled and gave me a plate of fruit and toast. What did it taste like? Fruit and toast, dummy! And guess what? It was yummy! Ha!
Hmmm...what should I wear? Pink, pink, pink, or...pink? Pink, it fits me much better! I giggle at my own joke and put on my pink Tinkerbell shirt, purple leggings, and pink Velcro shoes. I look fabulous!

The only reason I go to school is to see the colors. There's pink, blue, red, yellow, orange, green, and purple! So many bright, beautiful colors. They're the only things that hang out with me, since all the other kids think I'm weird. I watch the colors swing on the swings, hop of chalk, and go from bar to bar on the monkey bars.
"Hey! Little know-at-all!" I heard a stubborn voice call to someone. Along with the sound of feet walking on wood chips. Hm, how odd. They're getting louder by the second. Soon enough, my sun gets blocked out.
"Hello? Answer me Doodoo head!"
"Can you see the colors, too?" I felt like being nice today.
"What? Who cares about colors! You're gonna pay for what you did to me yesturday!"
"Please tell me, Abbey, what I did to you yesterday" she better not tattle on me.
...
"...You...you...stole my colored pencil!"
"Did not!" Wait, when did I stand up?
"Did too! I was looking for my green when I saw you coloring with it!"
"Nu-uh! That pencil was mine!"

Next thing I know, I'm lying on the ground with Abbey, whom the person who pushed me down, was standing in front of me. She rolled me over into the dusty, dirty wood chips. She then smashed my face into the bark, in which I feel a stinging feeling. OW what is this? I try crying, but the bark dried all the moisture from my eyes.
I started screaming, without noticing it. The pain grew and grew, until I past out from lack of air.

Darkness. I heard the beeps of the hospital, I smelled the smell of disease, and I felt the cold, lifeless sheets of a hospital bed. However, I couldn't see it.
"Mommy?" I asked vainly.
"Yes, baby. I'm here." I felt her kiss my hand. I heard someone walk in, but it wasn't mommy's steps.
"What's going to happen?" Who was she talking to?
"I'm sorry, Ms. There's nothing we can do. The powder dried her frontal lenses and tear ducts"
"What's going on?!" I yelled. I didn't care if I disturbed someone, I wanted answers. I felt my mom's hands on mine as she said,
"Honey, I'm so, so sorry." I could hear her cry, but I still couldn't see her. What was going on? I started to have a panic attack. After a while of sobbing, I faintly heard,
"You won't be able to see. For a long, long time, baby. I'm so, so sorry"
"What- what do you mean? Mommy? What do you mean? Mommy?"
I felt a prick of a needle in my arm, then sleep.

Note #2: it's depressing, I know. And yes, she is blind.
