I used to wonder if leaving home was the best idea. My older sister Taylor used to tell me 'Mack, I know things are hard but your strong and that's enough for you to push throw.' She is amazing and someone I love and trust a lot. She was only 20 when I asked her to take me in, she happily did and I couldn't of been happier.

When I had turned 16 everyone at school had found out that I left my parents place. My younger brother had started highschool and told everyone about it, saying I was a runaway and that I had been living on the streets. That year I had gone to Taylor and asked if I could do virtual learning for the rest of the year. She talked to some people from my school and said that they said I had to wait until the end of this 9 week grading period. For those last couple of weeks people started calling me mad mack because rumor started that I was crazy and that's why I was kicked out.

After I went from in person learning to online schooling I had a lot more free time. My best friend KV also dose online schooling, she is a extremely talented competitive dancer and when she started traveling with her mom to compete we made each other bracelets. She wakes hers during every dance, we never take them off.

I told her about how I'm doing online schooling and how I'm living with Taylor now. I asked what she thinks I should do with all my new found free and said said I should get a job or try something new. I had always wanted to try acting, it sounded like a lot of fun and I loved watching movies so being in one sounded amazing, my current favorite show is Natalie and her not so scary ghosts. It only has one season so far but I've watched the whole thing almost 17 time. KV showed it to me, she was one of the background dancers for the few of the episodes.

I had talked to Taylor about it and she said she would support me and if it was close enough she wouldn't mind driving me. I went on every casting site I could find, looking for weeks and then, I got a notification that Natalie and her not so scary ghosts was renewed for a second season. The next day I was going throw the casting call websites and found a casting call for a supporting role on Natalie and her not so scary ghosts. The casting directors where holding auditions in my home town for a girl who lookes like they were in highschool with some sort of vocal ability and prior knowledge of the show to play a reoccurring role of a troubled teen ghost who has the ability to be seen and felt when she wants but it takes a lot of energy from her. The teen (Emma) would have had a lot of trust issues do to her past.

I ran to Taylor, who was in the yard with our dog Paris. "Taylor look!" I handed her my phone "isn't this for that show your always watching?" She was going throw all the details "Mack, this show is in Canada. How are you going to get to Canada?" I looked at the phone "l know but the audition is in Austin and what are the odds that I actually get the part? It would be for fun more then it would be for the actual role." Taylor handed the phone back " and what if you do actually get the role, how would you even get to Canada?" I put my phone away in my pocket " KV comes home on the 21st if I get the role I'll know before the 3rd of next month which is when KV leaves for a few competitions in Canada." Taylor stood up, rolled her eyes and sighed "fine but you better call her mom first and make sure it's ok with her"    I smiled and hugged her and thanked her. I then called KV and asked her and her mom if it would be ok and they were just as excited as I was and agreed to take me to Canada with them if I get the role. Her mom only had one condition, I had to help KV with her Math homework.

After that KV's mom called Taylor and they talked, about what... I don't know, not my business. The week following I had the audition and the casting directors were very nice and by the time I was done with the audition I was kinda confident about it, but I didn't say anything to Taylor except that I think I did good and the directors were super friendly. When we got home Taylor got called from mother, she waved her hand telling me to go to my room "Hey mom, Mack is asleep. We've been out and about all day and she's had a very eventful day" Taylor walked into her room and I made some food then went to bed.

That morning I woke up to my phone ringing, KV was calling. I answered "Hun, why are you calling me at 30 minutes after death,?" She laughed "No reason, I just wanted to call you and tell you that I'm coming home early!" I groaned "Best friend of mine, as much as I love that you are coming home early, why did you have to tell me at butt funk 30 in the morning" I checked the time "anyway how was your audition yesterday?" "Well, seems how it was only 7 hours ago I'll let you know when it completely sets in" KV made a face at me "Alrighty then, call me when you let it completely set in, I had a lot of fun and I think I did a good job." I talked to KV while doing my school work, about 30 minutes into me doing homework KV started doing her homework and then it turned into a hour and a half studie call then Taylor ran in yelling "IM LATE!" I put my phone on speaker and put it down on my desk "Late for what?" "For work!" There was a short silence "Taylor it's Monday, you don't work on Mondays" Taylor dropped her keys "Oh my God, your right" she walked out my room and yelled "IM GOING BACK TO BED" KV and I laughed a little and finished our school work.

At about noone I took Paris out for a walk and ran into my brother "Hey Mack, where have you been? You haven't been at school" Paris and I turned around and started walking home " Mack!" He followed me all the way back to Taylor's house " GO AWAY GUNNER!" My mom's house was right down the road from Taylor's house, it was in walking distances "Mack!" Gunner was still outside, banging on the door and yelling " You owe me! I've been doing all your chores and feeding all the animals while your gone!" He kept yelling, my phone rang. Taylor was calling me, when I answered I walked into Taylor's room because it was the farthest room from the front door and you could barely hear Gunner yelling and banging. "Hey Taylor,what's up?" I sat on her bed, looking out the window into our back yard. " I just got a call from the casting directors" Paris came and sat next to me on the bed "what did they say?" I was excited " they want you to be in Canada in one week to do some sort of musical TV boot camp!" I jumped up on the bed "YES!" I was yelling and jumping so much that Pairs started barking so I had to stop "Hey, can I bring Paris with me?" Taylor laughed "my dog is staying here." I walked into my room and looked out the window, Gunner was gone "understandable" I was happy and excited " Go, call KV I'll bring chinese food to celebrate" I shut my door and started picking up my room. "Can't wait for dinner" she hung up and I called KV.

"Hey Mack, what's up?" I fell back into my bed "I got the job!" A week went by faster than I realized, next thing I knew KV and I were going through our stuff and putting them in the moving truck, the whole ride to Canada I kept looking out the window, soaking in and admiring the veiw. "Hey Mack, were going to stop by a gasstation, you want something?" I smiled "No thank you" then I feel asleep and woke up to KV's mom unloading the truck "Good morning." I looked at the sky "it's dark, KV it's not funny if I don't laugh. I didn't laugh, good night" she started walking away " food is upstairs in the apartment you" I popped my head up " did you just say food?" Next to KV was a bunch of moving boxes "no food but since your up, do you mind helping me with these boxes"
