Sage's POV:

It has been a few weeks since we met Alice and in my opinion she has been acting off, like really off. But other than that I haven't felt so good in my life. I had just realized that I may or may not have a crush on luke but to be honest I don't think he feels the same. I mean he's always with Alice every time I see him, like I don't really mind but ever since we met her she has been balling him 24/7.

"Hey Luke what you doing?" I asked with a slight blush dust over my ears and nose. "Oh hi Sage I'm just waiting for Alice." He replied with a happy smile spread across his normally calm face. My heart suddenly dropped he's never smiled so happily when it comes to me but I guess he's just happy that we can all walk to school together.

Alice had finally came out of her house but just as she aproched Luke. He gave her a comforting hug and she hugged him back. I was just standing there like I didn't even exist to them so instead of just waiting for there everlasting hug to end I walked off to school but before I did that I quickly let them know. "Hey you two I'll be off I don't wanna be late for school so I'm just gonna go OK." But when I said that no one even responded they just pulled away and walked right past me. But as soon as Alice passed my hurt face she glared at me with a glare that told she had won and my heart couldn't take that any more. I just looked down with a few tears escaping my eyes.

When I got to school I saw a small peace of paper stuck to the glass door of the main school building. 'School dance next saturday. 8pm - 12pm. Don't be late!!!' My eyes lit up when I saw the poster finally a chance to ask Luke out. With such happy news on my mind I blissfully skipped to my next class.

Le time skip after school:

"Hey Luke can I talk to you for a moment?" I asked catching up to him and of course Alice. "Sure he said stopping and turning around to face me but so did Alice so I started to get a bit uncomfortable. "Alone." I said apolitically looking at Alice. She then smiled and started to walk to her house. "So what's up? Do you need anything?" He asked confused. A deep blush apeared across my face and nose. "No I just wanted to ask..." I looked down in embarrassment and blurted out. "Doyouwanttogototheschooldancewithme!!" My eyes seemed shut. "OK Sage I can't understand anything you're saying you need to slow down." He said calming me down just a bit. So I took a deep breath and asked again. "Do you want to go to the school dance with me?" Luke's eyes suddenly widened as his smile turned into a sad frown. "Oh my god Sage look I wood but I was actually going to ask someone else to go with me. I really am so sorry." My eyes saddened but I understood. "Oh so who are you gonna ask?" I was quite curious to know who my best friend liked so I guess I should find out. "Oh ummm A-Alice I think I might like Alice." He said rubbing the back of his head with a deep blush appear across his soft pale face. My eyes slightly widened and my heart dropped to the bottom of my stomach. I wanted to cry but I knew I couldn't so I just played along. "Oh r-really that's great. Umm ok also wanted to say that my mom will be picking me up so I can't walk home with you."
"Really but aren't you and your family like in a fight or something. That's why you live in the hotel nearly all the fields?" He asked confused. I began to panic but then I thought of an excuse. "Yeah not she is still my mom and I hope one can smooth things over with her." I them started to walk in the other direction and when he was out of sight I walked home, tears rushing down my face staining my cheeks.
