"So, Jackson might be coming over today."
"We should invite him to come swimming with us. You know what I'm getting at. Wink, wink."
"Gosh you're disgusting. He's my cousin. I mean it would be pretty cool if you guys dated though. All of my friends try to get with him, but they're always like 2 years younger than him, so he tells them off."
"Well damn. Does that mean he'll turn me down?" I managed to ask.
"Liz, look at you. I don't think he will." She responded.
I pretended to not hear her compliment as I summerged under water. "I'm sorry. I didn't catch that." I said, while pulling my hair back.
"Attention freak." Brook said, rolling her eyes at me.

"OMG he's right outside and look at me! I'm basically half naked! OMG Brook, why did I come here!" I whined as I looked out the window.
"Dude, calm down. I'm positive he'll enjoy it." she laughed.
"Shut up! It's not funny!"
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry. Just cover yourself with your towel. I'm done. We can go to your place now, just let me say hey."
"F it. Lets go."
She greeted her family while I stood aside looking like an idiot. I managed to get over it, be polite, and say hello. I felt pretty awkward when I got to Jackson, considering I felt his eyes scanning me.
"See, that wasn't so bad." Brook teased.
I gave her a dirty look. "Yea, sure. It felt as if he was undressing me with his eyes. Wasn't that pleasent if you ask me."
"Oh comeon, you can't say you didn't like it." she said with a small smirk.
"I mean I kind of did, but it was just weird. There was this awkward tension. Man, I don't even know."
We were interrupted by the sound of my phone. "You have got to be kidding me." I said rolling my eyes.
"Who is it?"
"You remember Luis, right? Well he's been trying to talk to me again and I mean you already know how long it took me to get over him to I really don't want to go through all that again."
"Just tell him you don't want anything to do with him anymore. That you have someone better named Jackson and he has a wonderful cousin." she announded whiles shooting me a perky smile.
I stared at my phone. Memories flowing back.
"Alright look, I know how he made you feel, but you have to just let go. He wasn't worth your time. He didn't realize what a wonderful girl he had and now he's lost her. I know you'll find someone way better than him that will value you more than anything else in the world. They'll love you a million times more than he did. Just don't dread about him. He's not worth your tears. Now go get dolled up so we can go hang out with Jackson."
I did as I was told. I ended up wearing my black croptop with a lacy decor and a teal skirt that came up to about midthigh. I paired my outfit with my white American Eagel sandles.
We walked back over to Brook's to invite Jackson to go on a walk with us. I waited patiently outside as both of them walked out. We didn't say much at first, but the silence was soon broken.
"Oh shit!" I screamed.
"What happened?" Brook and Jackson asked.
"My sandle just broke."
Brook shot me a suspecious smile and then she looked back at Jackson. "Jack, you should carry her so she doesn't have to step on the hot concret."
I hate you.
Jackson just shurgged and he made his way to me.
"Uh, you don't have to, you know that, right?" I hesitated.
"Nonsence, I got you."
I could tell that Brook was holding back a laugh, but with that, I jumped on Jackson's back and made our way to my house. I felt pretty weird considering I was wearing a skirt. He tried to keep his hands off my thighs which I found quite amusing. Brook had gotten ahead of us. She had gotten a call from God knows who.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to do that!" he began to chant.
His hand has "slipped" up and pushed my shirt up.
"Oh haha, it's fine, but I think I'll just walk from here." I said as I felt my face turn a bright red.
"No, no. It's fine. It was an accident." he responded with a slight color of pink rising up to his cheeks.
Nothing was said after that. We made our way back to my house in silence. I grabbed another pair of sandles and with that, we went to the park which thankfully was not a big disaster.
