Paisley's POV

"Mom! Where's Hayes!?! Where's my baby!? Mason! Lillian! I need you!"
"Paisley what's wrong?"
"I need him. I want him."
"Who?" She asks confused.
"Hayes." I cried. I pulled out the IV's and hopped out of bed.
"Paisley no. Sit down." My mom says.
"No! I love him." I said running past her.
"Hey! Stop! You get back here!" The doctors and nurses yelled chasing after me. I didn't look back. I ran. I ran faster than I ever have before. I could feel him. I could feel that he was about to leave. He was at the airport. I grabbed a taxi and rode all the way there. Once I entered the airport I collected stares from everyone. I looked down and realized I had a hospital gown on.
"Shit." I mumbled. I didn't care though. I remembered. I remembered that I had kids. I remembered that Hayes was mine. Everything was coming back to me in patches. Once I saw him I couldn't breathe.
"Hayes!" I yelled. Then my world came crashing down again.
"Oh Paisley!" He said running towards me. I was blacked out and that's it. I saw another white light but this time my eyes wouldn't open.
"We need to get her on 3x Oxidose. Now!" a male voice yelled.
"Her heart rate is slowing." a woman said.
"Okay listen here." Someone whispered in my ear.
"It's all up to you. You chose if you want to make it or not. You have to fight with everything you've got. It's up to you." I felt my heart drop. I was dying. It was going to be my turn to pull through. I tried and tried but all I could hear is scrambling and a heart machine on a continuous note.

"Hey." Someone said.
"Hayes how's she doing?"
"G-good. I think. I don't know but I know that it's bad. I can't tell if she's going to di-die but if she does then I'll die." Hayes cries.
"Listen let me tell you a story." A female said and I realized it was my mom.
"All her life all she ever wanted was a husband and a loving family. She got her wish but it was pulled away by a condition she has. When she was born she was 8 weeks premature. Her heart wasn't developed all the way and doctors said that at the age of 25 she wasn't going to make it. She's here and now all we can do is pray that God gives her another chance." I didn't even know I had a heart condition. What the heck mom thanks for telling me. I tried to open my eyes but they still wouldn't open. I felt a cold hand grasp mine.
"Babe please don't leave me. You're my everything." He cries and I could feel a couple of tears drop on my hand. I softly twitched his fingers and fluttered my eyes open.
"Ha-Hayes. I overheard the doctors saying that I wasn't going to make it."
"How much longer?" He said faintly.
"A couple of days at the most." I whispered and his eyes dropped with tears. He wasn't speaking.
"This is why I wanted to leave. Goodbyes are the hardest."
"Never goodbye, always see you later." I said kissing his hand.
"Forever and Always..."
"Always and for-"

Hayes's POV

"NO PAISLEY!"
"DOCTORS!"
"Pais. Don't leave me." I yelled.
The doctors came flooding in. They grabbed her wrist to check for pulse. They stopped scurring.
"Final death 5:19 P.M." The doctor said pulling IV's and taking her out of the room. I dropped to the floor. I wasn't crying. I wasn't talking. I couldn't deal with this pain. Everything was gone. How was I supposed to tell the kids? How am I supposed to live?
"oh Hayes." Teo said walking to my side. He slid down the wall and hugged me.
"Please. Don't. Just leave me alone." I said.
"I'm sorry. The kids are here." He said walking away. I quickly stood up and ran towards the lobby.
"Daddy?" Mason said with his eyes filled with tears.
"Oh babies come here. We need to talk."
"Mommy. Uh. Mommy didn't make it." I said feeling my heart break.
"no!!!!" Mason yelled. Lillian just gripped my jacket softly crying.
Things will never be the same. Everything I've worked for in life was taken from me. Nothing will be the same. I walked out slowly. Tears fell from my eyes. The sliding doors opened and the cold air brushed against my face. I saw Melanie sitting on the bench.
"Hey Mel."
"H-hi Hayes." She sniffled.
We stayed silent for about five minutes and then we heard someone yelling my name.
"Hayes!?"
"Hayes?!"
"Nash? What?" I ask.
"Hurry come quick. It's Paisley."
