Chapter Two:

9 1 1

The way she said it made my skin crawl the air suddenly felt so cold I was holding back shivers, I then said as calmly as possible” alright then, start whenever your ready ma’am”. She then leaned back in her chair looking at the ceiling which I was grateful for this cause she was no longer staring at me with that evil glare, she then stared” oh where to begin? where to begin? Oh how about the very start?” she looked back at me almost asking for approval I nodded in response not wanting to say anything. She leaned forward onto the table making a creak and said” well then, let’s see hmmm oh, of course, let’s start with my childhood on my tenth birthday my parent were fighting, of course, I wasn’t all too surprised my parent fought all the time and of course sir my father could get whats the word? Oh right handsy as I’m sure people would call it on that day he forced me to watch him kill my mother”. As she was telling her story her eyes were dull and her voice no longer cheerful she sounded almost empty which was completely understandable I made sure to write everything down while holding back tears for this poor girl. To have to go through that at such a young age I felt horrible for her and it seemed like she could tell cause before I had even realized she was staring at me almost with hate in her eyes as if my pity for her was an insult. She then continued” of course the neighbors heard the screams and called the police they arrived and took my father away and had my aunt take me in, my aunt didn’t like me not one bit” she then paused as if the holdback tears or hatred then continued,        ” she said it was my fault that my father killed her sister, my mother, she would rarely feed me and she was one of those women that bring a drunk stranger home almost every night, she’d let them have their way with me as long as they paid, of course, I ended up getting used to it and by the age seventeen I moved out with the money I had saved up and moved out to the woods far away from society I was doing well then my eighteenth birthday came, of course, I never celebrated my birthday” her voice was just filled with sadness, I wanted to give her a hug and tell her some kind words but at the same time I was too scared of her to do so. She then continued while looking at the table with dull eyes” so since I don’t celebrate I was just at home on the couch watching tv, I had heard something from behind when I turned my head to see what it was I saw him, he was standing there in all black with a smiling clown mask peering down at me I was about to scream and run but before I could he knocked me out and the next thing I knew I was in a dark and cold room almost like a basement it was almost as big as a prison cell, the room was so dark I couldn’t see anything I could feel that I was laying on a bed but I felt something cold and heavy on my ankle I felt around it, it was a shackle” when she said that her expression went blank and she looked like a scared little girl who just woke from a nightmare her hands were shaking. She looked at me but it felt more like she was staring through me as if I wasn’t even there and then said” it was so quiet I thought I was dreaming maybe but then I heard something, it was a of a girl pleading and crying while a man who I assumed was the man who took me, laughed as if the that’s girls cries of pain were jokes to him I shivered every time she screamed then, it stopped it was so silent all I could hear was my heart pounding in my ears”. So i then asked an obvious question” were you scared?”.
