La Libertà (ON HOLD)

Authors Note

Honestly, I am so bloody sick of reading the same old cliché mafia stories of a virgin/innocent girl either getting kidnapped or falling in love with a rugged, handsome, male chauvinistic, rich man who rarely smiles and has sex on his mind twenty-four-seven. 

Now I totally get that none of us are expert writers here and that we are all writing based on our imagination (basically all of us secretly hoping we get to live such stories), so a huge round of applause appreciating all the wonderful authors out there.  *Claps furiously and whistles too*

Now, as a reader and budding writer of color, it somehow irritates me how majority stories on wattpad lack having a main character of color, again, ever author has their choices and preferences, but I mean why aren't there any mafia books with brown girls as the lead? (Maybe there are, and I haven't come across them. Don't come at me for this.)

It's like every time I read a Mafia book, I suddenly wish I was European or American, with light eyes and a hell lot of innocence, so that I could attract any hot, rich, Mafia man. And I am fed up with hoping I was someone else, even if it's just in the fictional world. So, I want to change this trend, and write a unique mafia book. 

This idea popped up a few days back, and instead of stalling and letting this idea fade away with time, I am acting impulsively and working on it as soon as possible. I am so excited to share this with you guys. 

As of now, I have no concrete storyline in motion, but I have a good one in formation. I am also working on multiple books and other projects simultaneously, so kindly forgive me if I don't update this story regularly. Though one thing I can guarantee is that I won't abandon the book in the middle or anything, because I have this annoying habit of HAVING to complete something that I start. So, even if I take some time, I will eventually complete the story.

The thing is, this is this year I am giving my board exams (Twelfth) and I may or may not go offline during the end of February- mid April time period, because I have to get a good score in my exams (Indian pressures), so I may not upload during this time, or I may just find a way to. It depends on how I study and if my parents let me use my laptop at that time. 

Now, as usual, I want to stress on the factor that I don't intend to tarnish any culture, or ridicule anybody, be it race, religion, sex, age, etc. This book is clearly being written for entertainment and maybe educational purposes as well *Winky face, winky face*. Again, I don't mean to offend anyone. 

I am still unsure whether to make this book mature or not, though my decision is inching towards a yes so mostly it's going to be a little mature, and I will try not to write very gross or disgusting scenes, because I myself might get grossed out.    

For any knuckle heads out there, please please PLEASE, don't copy my work. Not that I feel it's worth copying. I get the thing that there may be clash of ideas, because we are living on a plant with seven billion people, so ideas will clash, but by no means you are allowed to copy my work. Also, I only write on wattpad. So, if any readers see my work on other apps, kindly inform me.

Lastly, I want to thank the readers in advance, who have decided to read this book, I just want to say, each and every read is valued and cherished by me and it makes me feel very happy and validated that there are people out there who are interested in reading my work. So, Thank you very much.
