So, yesterday I made the announcement that I had won something big. I'll go ahead and tell you everything that went down yesterday cuz I promise it's all relevant.

About a week ago, I looked up Westbow publishers to submit my NaNoWriMo book to. These are the people that published Ted Dekker's books, and since he's my favorite author I reached out, not thinking I was going to get a response.

Yesterday, while I was at work they called me. They want to look at my book!!!

Now, we're still a long ways away from getting it published. I gotta edit it, have people beta read it, and make sure I have the legal rights to it because I don't want people to steal my idea.

But it gets better!

Two weeks ago, WattpadDisney announced they were holding a Holiday Flash-Fiction contest titled 'Down the Rabbit Hole'. I submitted a story, and didn't tell anyone because I didn't think I was going to win. After all, I was a single book in a sea of hundreds of thousands.

Yesterday, while at work (yes, again, I'm 100% serious), I got this message.

I lost it. Who wouldn't? My story hadn't even ranked on the official hashtag!! But I needed to double check, so I looked at their profile to see if I had actually won.

Yeah it's safe to say I cried. Hard.

Two publishing deals. In ONE. DAY.

I had to leave work early to come to my grandma's for New Year's (but we closed early so it's not like I left my coworkers in the dust). Once I got here I told everyone (because I thought I told my mom and she didn't tell anyone) and my grandma brought out the fancy glasses and let me pop champagne! It was the sweetest thing y'all.

Thank you for believing in me guys. I love you all so. much. Stay safe, stay hydrated, AND HAPPY FREAKING NEW YEAR!
