Another day, another party.

Blazing lights, smell of wine, and numb people.

It's around midnight, too early for the party to end on most days, but today I feel like going home.

My girl was hanging out with her friends, probably wouldn't return tonight.

I passed by the streetlights and stopped before my house.

Who are you waiting for? Nobody is going home with you.

But there was someone. There was the one.

***

He hasn't changed much from the last time I saw him. Though I couldn't see his face clearly in the dark.

Both of us didn't seem to be surprised. This scenario occupied every bit of my mind for countless days.

"So you followed me home." I said calmly. He nodded. "From the party."

The familiar feeling took over me like drizzling rain falling from strange sky.

"So what do you want?" "The same as you."

Oh...

I let him in.

"She isn't home." I whispered.

Something flooded over me. We both knew what we desired.

***

His breath. His smell. His skin. I felt him beside me. I wanted something more. Something in my dreams for years.

Leather jacket. Unzipped jeans. The pieces of clothing were just unnecessary. I wanted him only.

We were like two fireflies, diving into the night.

Flawless bodies. Wet lips. Heavy breath.

Euphoria.

***

Unconsciousness.

The blurred sunlight shone into the room.

He picked up his clothes from the floor, the metal zipper made tiny noises. He quietly caressed the bed sheet, trying not to wake me up.

He left.

We slept, but after all we could never wake up next to each other.
