"He said winter is almost over" Peter said

"You know what that means" I said

"No more ice" me and Peter said at the same time

We reached the top of a cliff we looked down to see a small river it's ice melting

"We need to cross NOW!" I said

"Don't beavers make dams"Lucy said

"I'm not that fast" mr beaver said

"Come on" Peter said

"Wait will you just think about this for a minute"

"We dont really have a minute Susan" I said
"I was just trying to be realistic"she said

"No you were just trying to be smart like usual"Peter said back and me and Lucy giggled

We then heard a wolf howl

We walked along the steep cliff hanging on for dear life literally

We got to the bottom of the cliff the ice was breaking away rapidly we all probably looked as if we had seen a ghost

Peter went to step onto the ice it looked as if it wouldn't hold out weight

"Wait maybe I should go first" mr beaver said

"Maybe you should"Peter said

Mr beaver stepped onto the ice parting it with his tail making sure it's sturdy

"You've been sneaking second helpings haven't you mr beaver" mrs beaver said

"Well you never know which is going to be your last especially with your cooking"

We walked onto the ice slowly it was cracking under our feet

"If mum knew what we were doing" Susan said

"Your mums not here" I said

"OH NO!" I heard Lucy scream I looked up and seen that there were wolves

"Run" Peter screamed grabbing my hand

"The wolves had us circled us and one had mr beaver in his mouth

"NO" mrs beaver screamed

"Peter"

Peter and me pulled out our swords he had it pointed towards the wolf In front of him and mine was down by my side

"Put that down boy wouldn't want to hurt someone"

"Don't worry about me run him through" mr beaver screamed

"Leave now while you can and your brother leaves with you"

"Oh dearest Delilah how's your brother"

"Shut up" I said

"I see his scared little face sitting in the palace every-

I now had my sword against the wolves neck

"Shame your brothers not here to protect you anymore"

I gave up I killed the wolf

Peter Lucy screamed

The cliff was giving up

Peter stabbed the ground with his sword and screamed "hold onto me"

I grabbed his coat the water rushed over us I seen that Lucy was no longer there so I swam under

I spotted Lucy struggling under the water so I grabbed her and swam to the top I helped lu up onto the ground I heard someone screaming Lucy

She walked over and said "has anyone seen my coat"
"Del saved me from drowning" Lucy said while hugging al her siblings

Susan turned to me thanking me for saving her little sister while killing me in a hug

"Del thank you" I turned round to see Peter he hugged me I could feel myself blushing

"I don't think you'll be needing those coats anymore"
