I was on my third or fourth glass of wine when Theo dragged me to the living room, ignoring my protestations. "I was having a great conversation Theo!" He rubbed my hair while laughing, "Yeah, with a creepy guy who wasn't even invited here and who kept staring at your glass every time you put it down. Honestly, you should be more careful." I shrugged before taking another sip "I've passed the point where I'm too tipsy to care."

Theo led me to the sofa, where I sat down between Lydia and Blaise. As soon as I noticed they were discussing the latest gossip in our friends group, I tilted my head back and groaned "Ugh I must be in Hell." A cold voice replied immediately in a snarky manner "If this is your definition of Hell, your life must be a walk in the park."

I tilted my head back and raised an eyebrow at Draco who was sat opposite me in an armchair, seemingly pleased with himself. "Well I don't know, it was Sartre who said 'Hell is other people'. I'm pretty sure you being here are proving his point." Before he had the time to reply, Blaise intervened "All right, all right, everyone calm down. No murder under my roof."

After a while of zoning out on the conversations happening around me, I decided to go out on the balcony for a cigarette. It was an old habit I was trying to get rid of, but was constantly drawn back to during social events. I looked at the smoked floating in the January sky when I heard the glass door opening and closing behind me.

"So, what's your deal?" I sighed before turning around and leaning against the railing. "Care to elaborate?" I replied before taking another drag of my cigarette. "What have I done to deserve what happened back there earlier?" I laughed incredulously, staring at him for a second before realising he was being serious. "I mean apart from a rude prick, I haven't seen any side of you that would make me inclined to be nicer to you." Draco shook his head looking down on me "Judging a book by its cover I see."

I took a couple of steps towards him, not letting him impress me. "Look, I know your type. Private school guy who peaked in his teenage years, living off daddy's money, shagging every girl he sees thanks to his handsome face and lacking any kind of respect for others because he's so used to getting what he wants." Draco chuckled, taking a step forward as well and grabbing my cigarette before taking a drag from it and blowing the smoke in my face, giving me a whiff of his cologne at the same time.

"Are you done?" I shrugged, pleased with my analysis. "Yeah, pretty much." He flicked the cigarette butt off the balcony "Good." Before I could say another word, he grabbed my cheeks and pressed his lips against mine. I stumbled back until I found myself against the railing, reciprocating the kiss.

His hands started gliding down my body, landing on the arch of my back and bringing me closer to him. I grabbed his hair in return, biting his lower lip hungrily making him grunt in the process.

It was only when we heard Theo calling me from inside the flat that we simultaneously pulled away, both out of breath. Nott put his head through the gap in the sliding door, looking at me expectantly. "Lydia's completely hammered; I think she needs to go to bed." I sighed audibly before heading towards my flatmate without another look behind me.
