BEAUTIFUL IMPERFECTIONS: Chapter 1- Death contemplation

Please god do not blame me if this is awful, I read like a nut but i'm no award winning author lol xP

                                                               Chapter 1

   I'm sitting on the edge of the bridge, with my feet dangling down. I feel the chilly wind of October nip at my cheeks. I swing my feet back and forth looking down at the water beneath me.

   I'm here because I can't do it anymore. I'm here because after all the abuse and heartbreak I have gone through, I have finally cracked. I have broken into tiny pieces that aren't possible to be glued back together.

   My name is Copeland. I have been abused by my father physically and mentally ever since the death of my mother. To deal with the stress of my life I self harm. Nothing can make me feel better except the feel of the steel blade gliding across my skin.

  I was beaten by my father again last night while he was on another one of his drunken rampages, and it was just too much. It all finally got to me. So I ran. I ran all the way to the Maysville bridge. And here I am now staring down at the cold icy water contemplating my death.

    No one would miss me. I doubt anyone would even notice I was gone. My father would probably even be relieved that he didn't have to deal with me anymore.

    I feel a cold tear slowly roll down my cheek, but I don't bother wiping it away. I look up at the sky.

   "Why?" I shout up at the sky, "Why me?" I don't know who I'm talking to exactly. God I guess, but I don't really believe in him.

As I look back down to the water I take a deep breath and prepare to jump. Just as I am fixing to let go fo the railing I hear footsteps pouding very close and someone shout "No!" before rough hands grab me from behind and pull me away from the edge of the bridge...

Lol I hope somebody actually reads this and actually likes it xD
