Wolf stood where she was in shock, her mind still trying to process what had just happened. She thought they were coming to some sort of understanding. So what was with this hidden plot? And the outburst just now?

She glanced at the audience only to be met with shocked and judgemental stares. That along with the deafening silence made Wolf want to shrink away and disappear from everyone's sight. Wolf only snapped out of the uncomfortable trance she was in when she saw Lapis and Raven rushing over to her.

"Hey are you alright?" Lapis asked. "I know that was kinda sudden but-"

Wolf backed away from them. "You knew about this didn't you?"

"Let's not be hasty about this." Raven reasoned.

"Hasty? I'm the one being hasty?" Wolf wasn't sure if she wanted to laugh or cry at the statement. "This whole time you've just been hoping for something to turn me into something I can't be anymore! After all that consideration we did to make a deal... and you three were plotting something entirely different!"

"Okay maybe we kinda took a wrong turn but... but..." Lapis's mind scrambled for some kind of explanation. Anything. Whatever would calm this situation down before things were blown out of proportion.

"But what?" Wolf growled as she took a step towards them. The two knights opened their mouths but nothing came out. Only inaudible stutters. Wolf glanced at the discarded sword and sighed. "I guess all this just proved that I don't belong in Nirin anymore... and I never will be."

She pushed through the crowd and ran. Lapis frantically glanced around at the remaining crowd, her eyes landing on the Hylians and ran over to them. Raven following suit.

"H-Hey... you gotta help us fix this." Lapis pleaded.

Her request was only met with Blue's glare. "Oh sure. Ignore what we've been saying and then cry for help when your actions bite you in the ass."

Red glanced at the open door that Wolf had ran out of. "I'm gonna go find her." was the only thing he said before running off as well.

"We didn't mean for it to turn out like this." Raven reasoned.

Ghost rolled her eyes. "Yeah. It's pretty clear what you wanted to happen."

Lapis felt a pang of guilt in her chest. Almost as intense as if someone had run a sword through her. "We... we all just missed Bly." the explanation came out as a shaken whisper. Though she didn't have the will to maintain eye contact.

Vio sighed and shook his head. "I warned your queen what would happen if she didn't let go. There's nothing we can do."

"Just let Queen Rose know that once we find Wolf, we're returning to Hyrule." Green informed the two girls before leading everyone out the room.

As they disappeared, Lapis and Raven's minds scrambled to try and find some solution to this.

......

Wolf ran through the halls, her vision blurry from the tears threatening to spill. The only good thing about it was that she couldn't see any additional stares from those that she passed by.

But the tears didn't do anything to prevent the comments she heard as she ran.

"The lost princess is really choosing a kingdom we know little about over her birth place?"

"I never realized how selfish she could be."

"It may not be selfishness. You saw how many people came with her from that castle. She's clearly brainwashed by the kingdom that found her."

Hearing everything only made Wolf run faster. Right as the door to her and Ghost's room was in sight, she tripped on the rim of her gown and fell. As she crashed into the floor, Wolf heard a loud rip.

Great. Now this expensive dress was ruined. No... matter of fact, forget the dress. After all Nirin had put her through the very least they could do was deal with a ripped dress. It's not like Wolf wanted it anyway.

Wolf scrambled into her feet and rushed into the room, slamming the door behind her. As soon as she was alone, the tears began to flow freely. Wolf leaned against the wall, sliding down the wall. She bit her lip, refusing to let out a sob. The last thing she wanted was to draw attention to herself. She'd be damned if someone from this kingdom found her.

Yellow carnations began to sprout around her feet. Some petunias were blooming in the mix as well. Though at this point the sight of them made Wolf sick to her stomach.

These powers she had were a curse. A constant reminder that she was born in a kingdom full of selfish and narrow-minded people... the worst of them being her own sister.

No... they weren't family. Rose made that pretty clear. They were strangers. Rose was nothing more than one of those whiny nobles that throw a fit whenever they can't have their way.

Wolf wished she could teleport to Hyrule right now. Her true home.

..........

Rose laid in her room, sobbing into her pillow. Things weren't supposed to go this way. The Forest Sword was supposed to bring Blythe's memories. Then everything would go back to how it used to be. Or at the very least she would have some semblance of her family back.

Was it that wrong of her to ask for family?

If only Hyrule hadn't found her then maybe there would be a chance for Blythe's memories to come back.

It was then that a revelation came to Rose's mind. It was all Hyrule's fault.

They were the ones that made Blythe into a knight apprentice.

They were the ones that kept her separated from everyone in Nirin.

They were the first to complain about Rose wanting to retrieve Blythe in the first place.

It was all their fault.

Maybe there was a chance to fix all this. It wasn't as pretty as she had hoped it would be but maybe she could take a page out of what this kingdom had been constantly doing.

If she forced them to leave without Blythe, then at least that would be a step in the right direction. To save what was left of her family.
