A loud sigh can be heard across the rooftop near the railing, as a lonely standing figure finished chugging down a bottle of soju. Another sigh escaped her lips as she can still taste the bitterness that the drink left inside her mouth. At least it gave her a sense of relief, as her day was filled with the usual routine of waking up, eating, working, cleaning, eating some more, sleeping, and at times drinking. Well, Yuri only drinks on certain occasions and today happens to be the last day of the year so she thought that she deserved to down a couple of bottles of her favorite alcohol.

After reaching down for another bottle to down, Yuri looks up to the sky to stare blankly at the night stars. 'Sigh. I manage to once again survive a year. I can't wait to see how long I'll last next year,' the latter sarcastically thought. Who can blame her though, she's like the typical, average working adult, forced by society to live a nine to five job to survive the harsh, cold world of life. It also can't be helped that her supervisors pour down all the work to her at her office job as their incompetent, lazy asses can't do shit even if their life depended on it.

Yuri shakes her head at the thought of going back to her dreadful workplace occupies her slightly intoxicated mind. The feeling of her right hands freezing reminded her of the alcohol she was about to demolish. She chuckles to herself as even the six layers of thick clothing didn't help her with the freezing temperature of the night. She once again opens the bottle and downed it like there is no tomorrow.

Silence occupied the rising elevator, but the lone figure's face featured a large smile that reached up to her eyes. Yena usually spends New Year's Eve at her parent's house, but this year was different from the rest as her job required her to stay at her apartment complex instead of her parent's warm and cozy house. The thought would usually bring a frown or a sigh to the typical person but Yena isn't like any of the typical adults. She works a nine to five job, but instead of staying in and catching up on sleep time, she volunteers and helps out for her community on her weekends. Her friends like to call her insane for this reason, but it didn't bother her as the joy and happiness that fills her community gives her the energy to do so.

The view of the rooftop greets Yena's eyes, as the elevator reaches the place she intended to celebrate the welcoming of the upcoming year comes into view. The thought of loneliness once again visits her mind as the view reminds her of the warm, cozy house filled with her family and relatives. She shakes her head to replace the thoughts of loneliness with positivity, as this will be the first time in a long time that she's spending some time by herself.' It's okay Yena. This is an opportunity to give your social and joyful self a break,' she thought as a smile once again visits her face.

Yena was then greeted by the freezing temperature of the night, as a cool night breeze hits Yena, which causes her to swiftly scan the rooftop's view, as she exits the elevator. To her surprise, another lonely yet compacted figure and several bottles near the figure grasp greet her eyes. A small beanie and several thick layers of clothing wrapped around the person's drinking figure. 'Well, I guess I'm not gonna be alone today,' she thought as she chuckled at the sight of the figure. Before she knew it, her feet were bringing her to the location of the other girls. 'Who knew that today would be my lucky day. Might as well accompany the girl, hopefully,' she accepts my company.

After chugging her second bottle of soju halfway, Yuri heard the elevator open and close. She then felt the presence of another person and it seems like they are walking in her direction. Minding her business, Yuri once again looks at her bottle and brings it close to her lips to drink the rest of its content.
