Alec Benjamin x reader imagines

New years paradise

I love this idea for a story so of course I started writing it immediately so hope you like it! Also sorry my writing skills are ✨horrible✨
Relationship with Alec: dating but you were best friends before you started dating
Takes place: New Year's Eve in New York City 2020 (but without masks because I forgot)
Warnings: panic attacks (I only added this because I may or may not have been having a panic attack while thinking about New York on New Year's Eve)

Your p.o.v
Today Alec said he was going to take me on a surprise date so I didn't know what we were doing. This was our third date so I think it's going to be special. "Hey Alec what time did you say you were picking me up?" "Around eight o clock is that ok?" "Yeah" i then started thinking about New York City on New Year's Eve. The crowds of people shoving there way to get to the front. My heartbeat suddenly started quickening at the thoughts. "Um Alec can you stay on the phone for a little bit?" My voice was barely there but he somehow heard it "yeah are you ok? Is it a panic attack? Do you need me to come over?" At this point tears were running down my cheeks at a fast pace. "Can you come over please?" I said trying to steady my voice. "Yeah, hey stay on the phone ok?"I could hear the concern in his voice. "Mhm ok"
~10 minutes later~
Alec's p.o.v
I hung up the phone then knocked on y/n's door multiple times waiting for them to open it, and when they didn't I rushed into they're apartment only to see them curled up in a ball crying on the couch. I rushed over to the couch and sat them upright and held them. "Shh shh don't worry everything will be ok"

Your p.o.v
He spoke sweet nothings into my ear while holding me and playing with my hair.(if you don't have hair you can imagine yourself with your dream hair😊) "I'm sorry" was the first thing I said since he came in. "No no no there's nothing to be sorry about" he said turning my head towards him making me look him in the eyes. "But I ruined our date night" I said starting to cry more but he wiped my tears with his thumbs. "No you didn't we can still have fun, I have an idea go get dressed for the cold and meet me back here." I quickly ran to the bathroom and then heard Alec yell "No makeup!!" From the living room. I giggled then went across the hall to my bedroom.

~30 minutes later~

I came out of my bedroom to the living room only to find Alec fake sleeping on my couch. "Oi wake up I didn't take that long" I said laughing. "Yes you did what took you so long we're you shaking hands with every American citizen or something?" He whined. I laughed "no I was getting ready" "you better not have put any makeup on" he said his face smushed in the couch. "I didn't" I sighed. He perked up and dragged me out of the apartment and down the stairs (I didn't put elevator because those things terrify me to no end) once we got outside he started pulling me in a different direction so I anchored myself to the ground(does anybody else do that when someone's dragging them away or is it just me) "hey get up" he said pouting "only if you stop dragging me and tell me where we're going" I said grinning. He rolled his eyes smiled and picked me up off the ground. He set me safely back on the ground so I was standing and grabbed my hand softly. "Your cute you know that?" I said laying my head on his shoulder. "Your cuter then me" we argued back and forth for a couple minutes before both sighing and said "fine we're both cute."

~ couple minutes later ~
"We're here" Alec said and kissed my cheek. I looked up from the ground and we were at Central Park and the ground was covered in snow, it was breathtaking.

Alec's p.o.v
I looked over at y/n they're face was lit up in amazement at the sight before them. They're hair covered in tiny snowflakes, they're cheeks red from the cold, they're lips perfectly shaped and parted slightly. "Your beautiful" I blurted out before I could stop myself. They just blushed more and looked down "I mean it, you are" they looked up at me and smiled and hugged me. They then dragged me into the snow laying down and making a snow angel. I laid down next to them also made a snow angel. We were both laughing hysterically. I got up after a while and helped y/n up too. She gasped and I immediately looked over thinking something was wrong "we should make a snowman!" I laughed then kneeled down in the snow starting our snowman.
~couple minutes later~
Your p.o.v
"I finished his head!" I told Alec looking around for him. I started to panic wondering where he was 'he couldn't have gone far' 'he wouldn't leave me right? Right?' I started breathing faster I sat down on the ground and held my knees. "Hey, hey, hey what's wrong what happened baby?" A few tears had slipped down my cheeks. I looked up and saw Alec about 2 feet away with a worried look on his face. I stood up and ran towards him jumping on him wrapping my legs around his waist. "I thought you left me" I said sniffling "I would never do that" he said burying his face in my neck. "Where did you go?" "I was finding rocks for his face" "Oh I finished his head" I said laughing a little "ok now we have to make his body" we both laughed and got to work.
~few more minutes later~
We stood back and looked proudly at our snowman. "I think he looks great" "I think so too" Alec said kissing my cheek. "What time is it?" I asked noticing it had gotten dark. he looked down at his watch "ten o clock" he looked back up and we both looked into each other's eyes for a bit before blushing and looking down. "What do you want to do now?" After he said that we heard the clopping of the horse drawn carriages and we both looked at each other. "Do you want to-" "sure!" He laughed a little before grabbing my hand and walking over to the carriages. (I don't know how this works so we're just gonna skip this part) we got into the carriage and sat down. I laid my head on Alec's shoulder and we sat there in silence taking in the beauty of New York City.
~after the carriage ride~
We got out of the carriage and waved them goodbye "what's the time now?" Alec looked at his watch again and his eyes widened and he gulped "um it's um" he gulped again "eleven fifty six" he shuffled his feet a little getting nervous. My eyes widened when realization dawned on me that it was New Year's Eve. I suddenly got a weird feeling in my stomach and it suddenly got really warm and my heart started beating as people surrounded us looking at the clock. "Hey, do you want to dance?" Alec asked knowing I was getting anxious. I didn't answer just put my arms around his neck while his slipped around my waist. I rested my head on his chest and we swayed. Suddenly it was like the rest of the world didn't exist it was just us swaying under the stars, I was safe in his arms. He started humming our song (it can be your favorite song or a love song but that's the song that whenever it comes on the radio or your phone you both start dancing and jamming out) I looked up at him and we smiled at each other. All the people around us started counting down "10...9...8...7" I looked up at Alec and he looked down at me we stared for a while before leaning in "3..." "happy new year Y/n/n(your nickname) our lips finally met in a soft kiss and the whole world disappeared again. We pulled away slowly and put our foreheads together "we've been best friends since we were born and you've been with me through everything thank you I love you...so much" Alec said tears forming in his eyes. "I love you too" I said tears forming in my own eyes. We kissed again tears streaming down both of our cheeks but this time they weren't tears of grief or pain or sadness these were tears of joy, tears of happiness, tears of love. I didn't know much about this year, all I knew was I was going to be spending it with the love of my life Alec Shane Benjamin.
