Sorry if there is some inconsistencies.It;s my first time writing one shot.There will be a lot of timeskips in the story.So you were warn. :-)

P.S I was inspired to write this after reading quite nice,short one shot with Neo Cortex on tumblr.Also, most of the dialogs are from original game.

*Backstory*

          You were working with dr Cortex in his castle and your feelings for him slowly growing to more romantic than you expected. But you knew he will not feel the same, he was so much into experiments that he will not noticed any signs you send him to grab his attention. Also you couldn,t quite stand that this poor animals are in cages including bandicoots , so you slightly help escape Crash and Coco and you decided to run from the castle with them.You thought that maybe this will help to avoid your feelings to Cortex. Little did you know certain doctor also had eyes on you from the very first time he saw you.

            *Timeskip* You,Crash and Coco are going to fight with Cortex.

"Hey,(Y/N) are you alright?P"-asks Coco with concern

"I think so, but I don't know what Neo is planningand what is the worst that I still love him.It's really hard for me Coco I didn't see him a long time and Iwas never so scared before"

"I get it.And perhaps I will never understand how you could fall in love with somebody like Cortex but it's not my business. Heads up, everything will be fine. Maybe you will have a chance to talk to him"-says Coco with a small smile

"Thanks Coco.I really appreciate it."-you answer and smile a little

        *Timeskip*After defeating Neo Cortex

"Blasted bandicoots!"-says Cortex in front of his mech-"Must we keep on going around and around like this? Tell me,Crash,is this all there is,forever?"-Cortex crawl over to Crash, gripping his fur.Crash shrugs in confusion. Cortex drops to the floor.

"Umm, I highly doubt that there is an 'endless cycle'? But there has to be the way to stopi it, of this really exist."-you try to comfort Cortex and hestantly  you kneel down next to him. He looks up at you with wide eyes.

"(Y/N),is this really you? I thought I will never see you again.You dissapeared all of the sudden.Where were you? I was so worried."-says Cortex with sad expression.

"I had to clear my mind for a while.I'm so sorry I dissapreared."-you say avoiding his gaze on you

"It's okay.I'm glad that you are safe. But it was really the only reason you left?"-he asks

"Actually ,no. I left because , there was someone I had feelings for and I knew he will not feel the same.Maybe I was just scared of rejection. But being 100% honest, this someone was and still is ... you, dr Cortex."

"What?!I-i didn't know"

"Now, you know. It's okay if you don't feel the the same. I knew I was just being silly..."

"No,no,no. Don't say that, love. The thruth is , I fell in love with you when I first saw you in my lab."

"R-really?!"

"Yes, really.I love you,(Y/N).

        But that beautiful moment is ruined by a hologram of N.Tropy.

"I knew you would be unable to handle this simplest of tasks"-says N.Tropy in mocking tone.

"Gloat all you want.I quit! If you need me, I'll be on a tropical island somewhere... Alone!"-Cortex argues with N.Tropy as walking away angrily.

You and Coco look at each other before glancing at the two doctors.

"How fortunate.You see I  no longer have need for our alliance. I've found a new partner and a new plan."-Tropy says, causing Cortex to stop in shock

"You were scheming behind my back?!"-Cortex turns and looks at N.Tropy in frustration.

"Of course.The Rift Generator has capabilities beyond your meager imagination. You were content to simply ruling over space and time. But I'd rather start from scratch. Erase it all. Wipe the slate clean.I'm going to restart the timeline and rebuild it to my liking"-states Tropy-"I will become a god! Which means you won't exist,and neither will those featherbrained masks,or those meddling marsupials!"-Tropy says before hologram disappear.

"Wiped from existence by that pompous peacock?!"-yells Cortex-"I'd like to see him try after I shove that tuning fork up his..."

"...But not if we get to him first!"-Coco says.You look at Cortex and nod.

"Yeah! And at the end he will be wiped from existence, am I right?!"-you say looking at Crash and Coco.

"It appears we have a common enemy. Perhaps there 's a way out of our endless cycle after all"-says Cortex as he strokes his beard.

Crash then go up to Cortex and give him a big hug.

"Huh?Ummm....hmmm...hmm"-Cortex stutters but accept the gesture.Then Cortex walks to you and takes your hand in his.

"So, darling.Looks like we have a chance to make up the time we lost."-says Cortex with dreamy eyes on you.

"Yes,I agree.So, what are we waiting for. Let's go!"-you say,as four of you go to face dr N.Tropy.
