Morning came and bathed both girls in sunlight. Warming their skin, giving them both a glow. Hope stared at Josie asleep happy to see no black veins memorizing every part of her face. She wanted to know what suddenly pulled them together. She had a minor crush on her as kids but not like this. This was different and much......deeper. So much had happened so fast she hadn't really had time to process how quickly she had fallen for her. She smoothed back her hair while she wondered. Josie's eyes fluttered open, a small smile forming on her lips. She could feel her dark counterpart in control but Hope looked happy, so she was happy.
There was a tap on the window and Hope went to it, seeing Odins birds waiting patiently for her.
"The comet is tonight! Tonight we leave! " and they flew away. I suppose they want me there for that.
"What was that about?" a groggy Josie rubbed her eyes and stretched.
"Um, nothing just mythical birds that want to get back to Odin, yadda yadda"
"What?" There was a knock on the door. it was Lizzie wondering if Josie was ready for the shopping trip they agreed to go on. she had forgotten all about it with everything that happened recently but left to get ready.
guess I'm on my own today. Hope mumbled to herself. She still needs to talk to Josie about the siphoning thing but it will have to wait until tomorrow. That's OK, she needed a day to herself after all that's went down.
