～Percy's point～
"Will is one brave man" I told Nico as the Iris message ended he Just smiled.
"Yeah, this time it may just be the death of him" Nico said sounding irritated but then a small smile make its way to his face making it clear that he was happy he was going to see him.
"You ready to leave?" I asked
"I'm ready" Nico said as he reached down and grabbed his bag sitting against the bed then stood up.
The three of us got in my car and drove off.
We made it close to 5pm and Nico sent a quick iris message telling him we'd be at camp in about an hour provided nothing went wrong.
After the message ended I started to think how I was actually surprised that nothing had gone wrong, but of course the moment I thought that, the tire on the car blew.
"Great" I muttered
I stopped the car and get out to look and sure enough the tire was flat as a pizza.
"Everything ok out there dear?" Annabeth asked
"Flat tire, don't worry I have a spare in the back" I said before walking to the back of the car.
I opened the trunk and grabbed the spare tire but when I went to close the trunk the tire slipped away and down a hill and I yelled in frustration which got both Annabeth and Nico out of the car
"What happened" Nico I heard Nico asked as I had my face in my hand.
I didn't dare to look at my wife, we had been married a whole year.
"The tire went down the hill" I said slowly sliding my hands down my face
"Way to go seaweed brain" Annabeth said
"It's fine I'll just go down and get it, you two just stay with the car" I said
"I swear if you hurt yourself-" Annabeth started but I cut her off
"Come on this is me we're talking, I'll be fine" I said
"Should we message Chiron and tell him to make Percy's burial shroud" Nico said with a laugh looking at Annabeth
"They should keep it on hand with the stupid stuff he dose" Annabeth said with a sigh
"I'll be fine, I promise" I kissed her cheek and walked down the hill.
I get to the bottom of the hill before realizing it was getting dark and I didn't have a flashlight so I walked back up and When I get back up Annabeth was standing there with one in her hand holding it out for me.
"Thanks Wise girl" I said laughing a little before walking back down flashlight in hand.
it was now completely dark because it took me about 15 minutes to walk down the hill and another to walk back up.
I search for what felt like forever flashlight in one hand and the other had my pen just in case. I finally found it leaning against a tree lucky it was ok so I held the flashlight with my mouth so I could still see and rolled the tire back up.
When I got back up Annabeth immediately checked me over for any injuries her face full of worry, when she didn't find any her face relaxed.
"You better be more careful next time" she said before hugging me and placing a kiss on my cheek
"I'm going to sit in the car, Nico can you please make sure he doesn't mess anything up" Annabeth asked
Nico nodded and walked over
"How worried was she?" I ask
"Completely off her hinges, she almost went down after an hour lucky that was when you came back" Nico said
"What time is it anyway?" I asked
"It's-" Nico started to say but froze the moment he saw his watch
"Will's gonna kill me" Nico said
"Why"
"I told him we were going to be there by 6 and it's 7:30 right now, how long does it take to change a flat?" Nico asked
"About 30 minutes" I said
"I'm so dead" Nico said
He slid down the side of the car hands over his face as I worked on the tire. I got the flat off Nico put it in the trunk. I finished putting the spare on then Nico help put the tools in the trunk and as he was closing the trunk I noticed he had something in his pocket.
The two of us got back in the car and we continued our journey.
We had been on the road for about 30 minutes Annabeth had fallen asleep against the window, I smiled at her before I decided to ask him about the item in his pocket knowing full well what it was.
"So how long have you been carrying that around?"
"Carrying wait?" Nico asked confessed
"Your pocket" was all I had to say to make him turn red
"About 2 months now" Nico said
"Why haven't you asked him?" I asked
"I just, I can never find the right time" Nico said
"My friend if you keep waiting for the perfect time you may never ask, I think you're just nervous and that's ok when I proposed to Annabeth I was so nervous I could barely talk" I said
"What if he says no for some reason?" Nico asked
"The guy went to the underworld with you, bot just the underworld but Tartarus and speaking as someone who's been there that showjust how much he loves you" I said
"Thanks" Nico said
"No problem" I said
The car was silent for awhile before I saw half blood hill
"We're here" I said as I begin to pull up to Half-Blood hill and Nico was out before I could even stop the car all the way. I laughed they were good for each other even if he was dead meat for being late. I leaned over and gently woke Annabeth then we got out walked down the hill. we had actually made it to camp without one monster attack for once now that was luck. as we walked I heard Will singing.
