You see, I think a diary is far more than just a book to record the happenings of the day in. You write all your thoughts, your dreams and your deepest fears into it. It's like the person you trust the most in a way. Thus I simply cannot refer to you as "Dear Diary", as I feel like that would be far too mundane for the importance you hold. For me, you will be Aphrodite.
Admittedly, I do not know much about your namesake. I simply read about her in a book I liked as a child, a summary of greek mythology. And well, as you are the so called "Mother of Love" I thought you would be a lovely person to write to. As a humble servant of love, I would even call it an honour.
And well, to be completely transparent with you...it just feels weird writing to yourself? Diarys have a bad reputation, as they are often associated with little girls writing about childish things, and we all know, that society cannot allow girls to simply enjoy things for themselves, without mocking them. And children, despite their obvious intelligence, are unfortunately often disregarded. So I will take this seriously.
But oh my, I simply have gone on for far too long, without properly introducing myself! How rude of me, my apologies, Mylady! How to start?

I am 26 years old!
I have many siblings, as my parents have always wanted a big family.
My parents own a Chocolate Factory, which in recent years has been quite successful!
I work for them, as a mailman! What does chocolate have to do with mail? Well you see, I have started a service, where people can request their letter to be send with a box of chocolates!
Usually, this would be something common on Valentine's Day (Which is usually one of our busiest days!) ,but I truly believe that love, of all forms, should be celebrated each day! So one of my Angels of Love, or myself, will deliver messages of love, be it platonic or romantic and no matter the day!
I live in a small apartment over our main post station in London. It may not seem much in comparison to our main estate, holiday estate , or some of my siblings homes, but I like it how it is. It's practical, comfortable and, in my opinion, well decorated!
On my many deliveries I have gathered many stories to tell, but as this is our first meeting, I shall tell them to you another time! As for now, I think that is a good general description of myself, don't you think so? I shall let you process all this information, and I hope that in due time, we will be good friends!
