What Even is Love?

Chapter 1: Party Time

Anna POV

My phone buzzed as I was sitting in my room reading my new book. It was Finn my one of a kind boyfriend. I loved him and he loved me. He even gave me a promise ring.

F: Hey babe! Party tonight?

A: Totally! Pick me up at 8?

F: Sounds good. See you in 20. Love you babe.

A: Love you too.

First party of senior year! I run to my closet and find my white, high waisted jean skirt, and a navy blue crop top. I threw my wavy brown hair up into a messy bun and swiped some eyeliner and mascara over my plain brown eyes. I quickly looked out my window to see Finn's car in the drive way. I grabbed my blue vans, and ran down the stairs, yelling good-bye to my parents and speeding out the door before they could ask anything. Once outside I jumped into Finn's car.

"Hey babe," He said kissing my neck as I got in the car, "you look so hot."

"Thanks, ready to go?" and with that Finn backed out of the driveway and we left for the party.

There were cars lined up all the way down the street. Finn was getting frustrated with finding a spot to park, but eventually he found one. The house itself was flashing with lights and with music booming to the point where you could feel the ground shake. Walking in there was bodies pressed up together grinding and dancing, everyone with a drink in their hand. Finn grabbed my hand and took me straight to the drinks. He grabbed two beers, I wasn't so sure about drinking alcohol but I'm sure it was fine.

The night went on and more beer was consumed, and dancing got even dirtier.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom be right back Anna." Finn told me before he walked away.

20 minutes later and Finn still hadn't come back and I was grinding on some perv I didn't even know. I started off to find Finn. I checked all of the main floor but he wasn't there. Maybe he had used the upstairs bathroom. I head up there and find that the bathroom was empty. I was getting frustrated with this, so I tried calling him. I heard a phone ringing in one of the bedrooms near me and started to panic. I slowly opened the door only to find Finn and my ex-best friend Jess making out half naked together. Finn heard the door open and looked up.

"Oh my god babe its not what it looks like."

"Oh really? It sure as hell looks like something!" I yelled as tears streamed down my face.

Jess then looks up, "Oh, don't mind her Finny let's just ignore her and keep going. Yeah?"

I was so raged I wasn't thinking about what happened next. I slapped Jess, then Finn. Before I walked out I turned around and said. "Have fun Finny maybe you could give this to her as well. I mean you love her right?" I took off his ring and threw it at him.

I didn't want to be here right now. I needed to leave. I had no friends to take me home. None at all, Finn was all I had but now he's gone too. Looks like I'm walking home.
