Chapter 1
"Hey kids!" bati ko.
"Hello ate Grace!" mga teenagers.
"How are you guys?" I asked them
"We're fine ate. How 'bout you?"
"Yeah I'm fine too."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Come on you guys."
Ang kukulit ng mga batang ito! I thought to myself. I'm Grace Recto by the way. I'm from the Philippines but I work as a volunteer here in Romania at the same time I am a bussiness woman. This teenagers that I'm talking to is very close to me. We've been handling them since they were little. We accept and take care of kids that cannot afford school and ophans from ages 8 until they 18 then they can work. I've seen kids who grew up and made their own choices.
"Ate, make some kwento." Clarisse.
They learned some Tagalog words from me. I taught them of course.
"What kind of story?" I asked.
"The story of you and kuya Tyler." Edmund
"What's that about?" I acted like I didn't know what they were talking about.
"Come on ate. We know that you are 75 years old but we all know that you will never ever forget how you and kuya Tyler met."
Yes. You read it right. I am 75 years old. I grew old here. But why they call me ate? It's because I want them to call me that. This kids were 12-15 years old. That's why they know the story is because everytime alumni's come back they want me to tell the story all over again.
"Fine. I'll tell you. BUT, let's eat supper first. I am hungry." I said.
"YEHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!" the teens exclaimed.
